"OMG CRISS! I have just changed your life for the better!" Ash sang from the phone.

"What?" I asked, a little taken back.

"You are going to love him!"

"Him?"

"Yes! I set you up on a double date with Ron! Remember him?"

"Uh, yes, but I'm really not..."

"I'm SOO excited! We will be meeting at Taste of Rome tomorrow at 5. See you soon!" She hung up the phone.

Yay, this is just so great.

I need coffee.

"James"

"Criss, what's up. Why did you call me?"

"Come pick me up"

"Uh, why?"

"Now"

"Ok, ok, I'll be over in a few.

"Thanks, and by the way, we are going to Starbucks".

"So, tell me again what happened?" James questioned.

"Ash set me up on a date, with a guy who is nice and all, but not my type."

"Oh, ok, I see. You are disappointed because he is not your type."

"Yes and no. I just really don't want to go. Rome's food just makes me want to throw up."

"Why?" he chuckled.

"Because, the last time I ate there, I did throw up. I got food poisoned or something. It just doesn't settle with my tummy." I say, patting my stomach.

"Your tummy. That's nice."

"Can't you do something about this? Like save me from the horror of a date?"

"No can do, Criss. But, I can help you get ready."

"Why? And most importantly, how?"

"I have been your BFF for forever, so, I know what looks best on you. Which is practically everything in your fashion sense, but hey."

"Ok then, but you have to drive me to the restaurant."

"Deal"

I sipped my coffee, then fiddled with my fingers. What was I doing? I could just invite James to come too, but then he would be a third wheel. Well, there is my cousin, Mia. He could take her. Yes, then if anything happens, he can swoop down and save me! Good thinking Criss. Go ahead, give yourself a mental pat on the back.

"Hey James?"

"Yes" he replied, looking into my eyes. It completely slipped my mind that I caught him staring at me when I looked up from my fingers. I will have to bug him about that later.

"Would you mind coming with me?" I asked and gave him a smile.

"I thought you would never ask." he chuckled.

"Good, you can take my cousin, Mia. She won't mind. She never really liked you, but will go along with it."

"Why can't I just go alone?"

"Because then you would be a third wheel."

"Is that bad?''

" Yes. You will not be a third wheel around me. At least, you won't look like one."

"Gee, thanks"

A/N Sorry guys, this is a filler chapter. I'm not sure how much I like it, but it doesn't matter. That explains the shortness. The next chapter will be up here probably tomorrow or tonight. - Lucy
