Chapter 16: My Hero

(Alex's POV)

Amber's eyes began to water as we both came out of the basement only to discover that the house has been destroyed by the roars of the tornado. I went up to a heartbroken Amber as I placed my hand on her shoulder and comfort her. I felt bad for Amber, her house destroyed, Some furniture here and there... Everything all trashed up and Amber and I were the unfortunate people to see it up a close hand.

Amber: It's all gone... No...

Amber starts walking slowly ahead of me as she now looks further and closely at her now destroyed house... Amber was now broken hearted to see the place she and muffin live now gone. Amber walks through a path that mostly covered in broken until she stopped and sees a torn photo.

Amber: Omg!

Amber falls to her knees as meanwhile downstairs, Rocky and Muffin were worried due to being a while since I and Amber went upstairs and didn't make any noise or anything. Rocky then decided to call to me and amber and see if we are ok.

Rocky: MEOW?!, "Are you guys ok up there?!"

Amber and I looked back at the only remaining piece of the destroyed house; The Basement and heard Rocky's call for us.

Amber: Meow, "Yea"...

Me: Meow, "Not now Rocky... Just give us some time"

I knew Amber lied when she said "Yea" to Rocky's question... I couldn't blame her... Amber is now facing a very hard time believing that her house is gone. Amber looked around left and right, and up and down. Only seeing that all of her stuff has been destroyed and broken.

Amber: No, This can't be real😢

Amber put her hands on her face and had begun to sob and I just stand there... I try to thought for myself to see how can I be able to fix this... I could try calling my uncle to see if he can rebuild Amber's house but Its gonna take time due to him already in the middle of building something else. Amber was still sobbing till one of her hand touch the ground and felt something like paper. Amber then looked and founds a photo that survived the tornado and looks like its been untouched. Amber then picks up the photo and whatever whats in the photo, lifted up Amber's spirit for a bit.

Amber: Ha

I then began to walk up to Amber and crouch down to notice the photo containing a little girl with blonde hair and sky blue eyes smiling at us. The Little girl Also seems to be carrying a backpack behind her back and I also spot a school behind the kid as well.

Amber: It's a photo of me in kindergarten

I smiled when she explains what the photo told. I looked at Amber and I looked back at the Amber in the photo.

"You looked so adorable, You still are to this day".

Amber: Thank, Alex 

Her eyes were still teary as Amber processed to stand up and face me, I hugged her and wipes the tears off her eyes.

"I'm really sorry"

Amber: It's ok

Amber began to walk up ahead but accidentally step on a nail, causing her to fall to the ground.

Amber: Ahhhh

"😨"

Amber was now laying on the ground with a nail through her foot and Amber felt the pain through her foot affecting her body.

Amber: My Foot

I bow down and check to see her foot but without even touching, She screams in pain.
