Chapter 21: Unexpected event & Visit

(Alex's POV)

I began to wake up from the bed me and rocky kept in our "Man-Cave", I stretch my arms out and I looked at the bed only to see Amber had disappeared.

"Amber?" I looked around the base and Amber was nowhere to be found. I was getting worried about Amber's absence, So I got up from the bed and walked to the stairs that lead up to the actual house. My foot landed on the floor of the actual living room and I looked around to see Amber there, Standing in the living room. I sighed in relief that I found her and I made my way towards her while she's still facing the other way. As I walked up to Amber, I could see she was sad...What happens while I was asleep?

"Hey Amber" Amber turned around and faced me but I can tell in her eyes that she was crying while I was out.

Amber: Hey

I know I have to do something to cheer her up, So I went up closer to her and gave her a hug that she likes. Amber did hug me back but Amber was confused why I hugged her and I can see that the hug didn't work.

Amber: What's this for 

"Can't I hug the person I love 😍"

Amber: I guess

I was getting worried about Amber... She's not acting like herself... I knew I gotta take another approach to this. I lift up Amber's chin which cause Amber to look at me, I leaned down and kiss her on the lips. Amber coos with it and began to kiss me sweeter than before while I began to kiss her sweetly.

(Amber's POV)

Oh, Alex... I wanna tell you but I don't know how to break it to you... But Its not just my inability to tell you... It's me being scared... To tell you... I spend the last few minutes in the living room, Trying to find a way to tell you what the police told me but every day I thought of, It always ends with you being either sad... Mad... Or both... I just hope this was just a bad dream or a misunderstanding because I don't want to see you hurt Alex... I wanna be happy when you're happy... Alex stopped kissing me and It looks like he's taking a breather from kissing me so long, I can't blame him since we kissed for five minutes and I did enjoy the kiss session a lot 💕.

Alex: I'll be back, I need to get some water

I nodded my head and watch as Alex made his way to the kitchen, I lowered down my head once he's out of sight and I thought to myself how can this problem be solved...That's when I heard a voice from a certain cat I know.

Muffin: Meow, "I'm sure he'll understand"

I looked at the muffin with a bit of caution on my face. I and Muffin have been together since she was a little kitten and Muffin could read me like a book, But Does Muffin even know what the situation is...

"I guess..." Muffin is right though... If I don't tell Alex about this... He'll have no idea why the cops are here or why the cops are there in the first place. I looked up to see Rocky coming towards and leaning at Muffin, Purring at her as well. Muffin was purring from Rocky doing this and Rocky smiled doing this to her. I smiled a little bite and I began talking to Rocky.

"Hey Rocky"

Rocky: Yea?

"How you doing?" Rocky gave me a big smiled and licked Muffin on her cheek.

Rocky: I'm Ok, Just with Muffin 😸

I smiled at Rocky's response and I'm glad that Muffin is getting treated like she means a lot to Rocky, Then I looked at Muffin and I saw hearts forming in her pupils.

"Muffin!"

Muffin: Yea?

"You goober😁" As I smiled at Muffin and Rocky together...My mind was also wondering where is Alex...
