Finally! The last bell of the day! And now it's summer! The best time of the year, in my opinion.
I quickly grab my stuff to go and find my older brother, Henry. I go to his locker but he and his gang aren't there.
I decide to go wait by the car if they were held back in class. I lean against Belch's blue convertible and cross my arms.
I see a group of boys come out of the school, along with my crush, Eddie. I always thought Eddie was so cute, and that he was just the most innocent boy ever.
I catch myself smiling, thinking about the small boy. They were actually dumping out their book bags into the trash. I lean my head in to listen.
"Yeah? Try tickling your pickle for the first time." The boy with large glasses spoke, Richie, his name was.
I laugh at that comment, no matter what Henry said, Richie was always super funny in my opinion.
All the boys ignore that comment. "Hey what do you guys wanna do tomorrow?" Eddie speaks to the group.
"What if we go to the Quarry?" The Jew, Stan, asks them. The group nods their heads.
Bill, the leader, then speaks. "Guys, we have the Barons." He stutters. The rest sigh and nod their heads.
I feel bad for Bill, he didn't deserve to lose his brother, I can't imagine how hard it was for him. I mean, Henry is a jerk, but I still love him.
The group starts walking away, until I see the gang my brother created behind them. They shove and trip them. I roll my eyes as Henry elbows Bill.
"Leave them alone, Henry." I stand behind him. The Losers look at me. "Hey, Losers." I smile warmly.
"Go wait by the car, Y/n." Henry scolds, pointing a finger in my face.
"Make me." I shrug. Henry rolls his eyes and looks to the group.
"This summer is gonna be a hurt train, for you and your faggot friends." Henry licks his hand and hits the leaders cheek lightly.
They walk away and I turn to the group. "Sorry about him."
"How do you deal with him?" Richie asks me. I shrug. "Sometimes I wish he'd go missing."
"He's probably the one doing it." Eddie glares at the car. "But, thanks for that back there."
I smile. "No problem." My crush actually just thanked me. "Henry can be a dick."
"You got that right." Stan laughs. I smile and laugh with the Losers.
"Uh, well, I should get going, or Henry will actually leave my ass." I looks to all of them.
"I like her, she's funny." Richie comments and I blush.
"Thanks, well, it was nice meeting you guys." I was about to leave when Eddie called out to me.
"What's up?" I ask and turn around, seeing him stand in front of me.
"You want to join us at the Barons tomorrow?" He asks me. I look to the group.
I smile and look back at him. "I'd love to." He smiles and nods to the group.
"See you then!" He calls and I walk to the car and hop in, waving to the boys as we drove off.
