Chapter 14 - Alive

Annie's POV
Kenzie and I changed into our favourite outfit.

This was maybe our last day alive. We went to town because we knew that it's already happening. We arrived there and saw all the people running around of fear. Some people lay on the ground, lifeless, other ones are dying in their loved ones arms who are crying for them. Kenzie and I went to where everyone came from. We saw a giant monster and walked up to him. He didn't mind us, he was paying attention to the ones running away. Me and Kenzie punched him in the leg. The monster was about to step on us, but Kenzie walked through him and I turned into a cheetah and ran away. The monster smirked and in the next second we were somewhere else, maybe in heaven? But we didn't mind. We fought with that monster 'til death. But I couldn't focus, my stomach hurt so much. Kenzie couldn't focus either. The monster used our weakness and punched us. He continued. We had had wounds. Too many. I think I broke my leg. I lost blood. So did Kenz. We lost too much blood. I can't even open my eyey. I can't move. I fell on the ground. So did Kenz. I felt like life died. Something in me died. But what. I looked at Kenz and she was like a ghost. I could see through her. Next moment I was where we started to fight with that monster. I saw light, but my sight is blurry. My eyes closed and I was in... I don't know how I could saw that but it's like a dreamland. I saw Kenzie beside me. She was like a ghost. And I was too. Then I saw someone walking up to us. He held four babies. I recognized the person and hugged him. It was Caleb! Caleb looked at me and smiled and told me to sit down.
"Did you feel something during the fight?", Caleb asked. "Like in your tummy?"
I nodded and understood what he meant. I stared at the babies.
"Th- This- This is a dream, ri- righ- right?", Kenzie asked.
"You're in heaven", Caleb said.
"They didn't deserve to die!", I shouted. "Why didn't you tell us that we were pregnant!"
"Come with me", he said.
We went to a place and looked down. I saw Hayley grabbing mine and Kenzie's stone. I didn't saw Hayden, but then I found him. He was sitting next to a dead girl. How could he che- Wait! That girl is me! I found Johnny fighting with the monster. He was about to die. Carson and Lauren tried to calm him. Jayden and Connor comforted Hayden and Hayley.
"This will happen when you won't go back", Caleb said.
I was in tears. I looked at him and he went back to where we came. Kenzie and I followed. We sat next to each other. Caleb still held the babies. He put three of them down.
"Annie, please take care of them", Caleb said. I went to a bush and held them in my hands. I heard a scream from Kenzie. Caleb came to me and took one of the babies. I heard another scream. Then Caleb came back.
"I won't give you any one of them! This hurts Kenzie!", I said.
"Kenzie is done. It's your turn", he said.
Caleb put his hand on my stomach and took a baby. He put it through me, so it can get inside. It felt like when Hayden and I had 'it' but some seconds later I felt so much pain and screamed as loud as the pain hurt me. Caleb repeated it with the other baby and I sat there sweating.
"It hurts!", I said.
"I know, but these babies need to live. They can't live when they aren't in your and Kenzie's stomach because you girls are their moms. You are going to live again. I can make you live again. You are pregnant again but first stop them from dying", Caleb said as he started to blur and disappeared. Next time I opened my eyes I saw the town. I lay on the ground. I felt hands on me and tears dropping. I turned around to see Hayden and Connor.
"Annie!", he said shock but happy.
He hugged and I hugged back. But then I remembered Johnny was fighting for his life. "Shoot!", I said and stood up.
Hayden was confused but followed me. The others too, since they saw me. I was ten metres away from them and I saw Kenzie running to Johnny. Lauren was on the ground. She git hit. Johnny and Carson were in danger. The monster was about to kill them when Kenzie and I jumped over them and we rolled down. The monster recognized Kenzie and me and didn't believed it. He was weak. Then all of sudden Ms. Cole came and killed him. I guess, she has the power of teleport. Kenzie and I healed Johnny and Carson, Hayley healed Lauren. All of us were at the same place.
"I thought you were dead!", Ms. Cole said.
"Well, we were", Kenzie answered.
"What?!", Hayden asked.
"It was Caleb, wasn't he?", Hayley asked.
I nodded and said:"For a little sister you know your older siblings too well."
She laughed. "But why?"
My cheeks turned from my skin tone in a pinkish tone. I looked down at my stomach and smiled and looked at Hayden. "Reasons"
