Chapter 2

"Alannah are you sure" Sam said over the earpiece. He honestly was against the whole stay away from soulmates idea. However, she was like a sister to Sam and Dean. She had been the one to introduce them to their soulmates Gabriel, Sam's soulmate, and Castiel, Dean's soulmate. They were actually in the impala with the Winchesters at the moment. Well Winchester. Dean had already gone to Alannah and looked at her pretending she was the love of his life.

"Babe, we are ready to go are you." Alannah smiled and looked at Dean.

"Yeah just got a little distracted I'm fine now though let's go home." She then kissed his cheek and smiled.

Dean was so sure this would work they had done it once before. Well, Sam did it the last time when Clint, Natasha, and Wanda saw her at the groceries store buying food to stalk up the bunker. It was hilarious though since Dean was in the isle right next to him he saw the whole thing.

~ Flashback~

It all started when they were at the bunker and Gabriel was messing around and knocked one of their big bags of salt onto the floor and spilled over half the bag. Sam was the one to find Gabriel and the mess and he looked frustrated if the glare towards Gabriel meant anything. He wasn't mad because of the fact Gabriel spilled the salt he was upset because that was the third mess created by Gabriel today, and it was only noon.

"Hey, it's not my fault it was there. You guys should find a better place to put it." Gabriel said trying to defend himself.

He hated when Sam was mad at him. He always wanted Sam to be happy, and he knew Sam was not happy in that moment.

Sam looked at Gabriel and said, "No candy or love making for a week, and clean this mess up. Also, stop making messes, and using angel mojo to try to fix it" He said walking away from Gabriel. Gabriel was kind of shocked he was used to candy being taken away, but Sam never takes Gabriel's favorite kind of candy away from him. He didn't now if he could last that long without Sam's body on his.

Since, the salt needed to be replaced and they needed to buy more food since they were running, so they headed to the store just a town over. He knew it would be quick because Dean and Alannah decided to come with.

So, after a five-minute drive-in baby listening to Kansas they headed into the store. Sam asked Alannah to help him with the salt. He didn't need the help, but he wanted to talk to her about her previous soulmates. He was always curious how it felt to outlive each soulmate since he knew Gabriel would out live Sam.

As Alannah went to grab a big bag of salt from the bottom shelf Clint, Natasha and Wanda walked into the store. Alannah could feel their souls and knew without even looking they were headed to the isle she was currently at. Sam started to ask about soulmates at that moment

"So what is it like to loose your soulmate?" Sam asked

"It is like having a piece of you ripped out of you. It hurts like hell, and you change what happens no matter how hard you try." She mutters as she grabs the big bag of salt while Sam thought about what she had said.

'Would it really be like that for Gabriel?' Is this why she doesn't like the idea of soulmates anymore?' 'Does she regret creating soulmates?' These and other questions ran in his head. He was so distracted by his brain he did not even see Clint, Natasha, and Wanda walk towards them.

Clint was the first to speak completely ignoring Sam. "Do you need help carrying that. It looks pretty heavy" he said to Alannah as he pointed to the bag of salt she was carrying

"No but thanks for offering" Alannah said not even glancing at the three. She could feel it her soul. It so badly wanted to just give him the bag or even simply drop it and run into his arms. It also didn't help that her leg, where Wanda's name was, lower back, where Clint's name was, and shoulder, where Natasha's name was were in sharp pain because of the three soulmates next to her.

"Are you sure he is pretty strong and he would love to help or even I or Wanda could help." Natasha said pointing to herself and Wanda standing right next to her.

"No thank you " she growled still not looking at them.

They were shocked at her reaction. They thought she would say yes or even simply look at them admitting she was their soulmate, or anything positive. They did not expect her to avoid them and growl at them. It hurt them that their soulmate was rejecting them without looking at them. Rejection of a soulmate has happened in the past not often though, so they thought that she at least she should look at them and reject them.

"We deserve you to at least look at us when you speak" Wanda muttered. That was the exact time Sam got out of his trance.

"Why are you guys still here my soulmate told you to leave her alone." He said coldly.

The three looked at each other before Clint said "I don't believe she is your soulmate. She is ours. I can feel my soul trying to cling to hers." He thought he had proved he had caught Sam lying so Sam acted tough.

"Ok first off you can't just walk up to someone claiming your their soulmate when it isn't true. Secondly yes she is my soulmate." Sam said before pulling Alannah in for a kiss.

Clint looked at Sam with a glare. Wanda was trying to see if Sam was telling the truth, but his mind was pushing her out by a force she had never felt before. The thing that was blocking her out caused her an extreme headache.

"I don't feel so well." She said to Clint and Natasha.

"Ok let's just finish our shopping and go back to the tower" Natasha said softly. Clint looked at Alannah trying to figure out if they were telling the truth, but he couldn't figure it out so he said a few harsh words before leaving with the girls.

"If I ever find out you are lying to me I'll kill you."

~End of Flashback~

Dean tried to leave with Alannah. Before they could get away Bruce, well actually Hulk, grabbed her wrist

"Mine" Hulk growled at Dean before he pulled her to him.
