i took time for myself
to get over you
and erase you from my thoughts
and from my heart
and after two weeks of your silence
it's like nothing has changed.
your name appears on my screen
and my heart skips a beat
butterflies tickle against my rib cage
yet the tears build behind my restless eyes
and the pain i felt weeks ago reappear.
i'm not over you
and won't be any time soon
i'm still wrapped
in the spiders web of illusion
the illusion that you and i
shared a perfect love.
i'm not over you
and still hurt because of you
because i am still wrapped
trapped inside this spiders web of illusion
the illusion that you and i
still and can be together.
countless fights
and weeks of silence
isn't enough to separate you from me
from my mind
from my thoughts
from my heart.
i took time for myself
to get over you

but here i am
in tears
with your name on my screen.
