"Can you believe it?! We're public now. That means we can go on dates again!" Todoroki stared at his girlfriend who was currently atop his lap and nuzzling into his neck. Her kisses were soft against his skin obviously screaming for him to touch her but the frantic beating of his heart was too distracting.

'Something's wrong, but I don't know what. ' He thought as he leaned against the couch and reflected on his current relationship. Every day that he was met with Momo's bright smile, guilt filled his body and every time she said 'i love you.' He wanted nothing but to confess that, in his eyes, she was nothing more than a friend.

Yes, he was interested during their UA years but now she was just that person he wanted to talk to every once in a while.

"Are you ok? I could get you some tea if you'd like." The noirette's voice pierced the silent air as she went to get up but Todoroki reluctantly wrapped his arms around her.

"Don't go. Just...just stay with me a bit longer."

"Oh, okay." She smiled a bit at his words gently kissing the bottom of his jaw. Feeling her body relax, Todoroki tightened his grip succumbing to her soft touch. 'You say she's just a friend but we both know that she's better than (y/n) ever was. She takes care of you, pays attention to you, accepts your touch and you're the only one she wants. Why don't you just keep her?'

'Because... I don't...know'

Once Yaoyorozu was asleep, Todoroki gently set her aside and grabbed his phone as he walked outside. Instantly he went to (y/n)'s contact and impatiently waited for her answer which came a few seconds later.

"Who the hell is this?" Her voice was stuffy through the phone but she tried to hide it with a harsh demeanor

"You deleted my number?"

"Todoroki? Oh, i-it wasn't from hard feelings, it's just..."

"It doesn't matter, something happened right? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Todoroki. Don't worry about me." 'It's not that simple, (y/n).

The girl on the other end slumped in her bus seat, already feeling her Ex's irritation. He gently sighed glaring at the phone in his hand.

"Do you need me?" 'Just say yes.'

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm loyal to Katsuki?" The gas of the bus starting echoed through the phone making Shouto's blood boil. 'Why wouldn't you just call me to pick you up?'

"You aren't dating anymore are you?"

"..."

"Let me guess, he abused you?"

"..."

"Then you argued"

"..."

And you had sex in the middle of it all. But when you were done another argument started making him walk out, while you left."

"...What told you?"

"You don't take the bus, you don't answer the phone when you cry unless you're heartbroken, and he never loved you in the first place." His teeth grit at the last few words which reminded him of his own relationship. "(Y/n) this is the last time I'll ever ask and I want the truth. Do you need me?" 'Please don't push me away anymore.'

"Todoroki I...I do. I really really do. Please let me come home and I promise I'll fix it all. I can get Yaoyorozu's boyfriend back and we can try again but please just let me come home. I'm sick of being alone." With a sigh Todoroki allowed his thumb to glaze over (y/n)'s contact photo in silent comfort. He was upset, yes, but he couldn't blame her.

She knew she'd hurt him and in turn, it she avoided any interaction with him so that he could be happy. That was probably why he still loved her

Because no matter what, she'd always try to fix her mistakes even if her method wasn't always the best. With a small smile, he finally spoke.

"I'm on my way. We'll talk once I get there."
