The last thing we wanted to do was blow up a school but there we were on Monday morning the first week of June sitting in ms Jackson's car in front of Goode High School on east 81st my life since staying at Percy's apartment for the school year was good the thing that worried me was monsters attacking me and Percy and school I don't know why we both fought atlas Goode was this big brownstone building overlooking the east river just relax sally said to Percy its only an orientation tour and remember dear this is Paul's school so you know don't destroy it Percy looked at his mother you didn't have long to talk all those monsters Percy started explaining I got lost in my thoughts it's been a week since I last saw my girlfriend Zoe nightshade and I was excited to finally be there for a few months but my thoughts were cut short the last image in my mind being her beautiful face and dark volcanic eyes then came the sound of the door opening drawing my attention they you are Percy white as chalk her eyes completely red a vampire Percy stammered then we noticed her legs below the cheerleader skirt her left leg was brown and shaggy with a donkeys hoof her right leg was shaped like a human leg but it was made of bronze uhh a vampire with don't mention he legs Tammi snapped its rude to make fun she advanced on her weird mismatched les she looked totally bizarre especially with the pom-poms but we couldn't laugh not facing those red eyes and sharp fangs a vampire you say Kelli laughed that silly legend was based on us you fool we are empousai servants of Hecate mmm Tammi edged closer to Percy they were completely ignoring me so I got there attention I swung but apparently they saw that coming they jumped backwards and swiped they're legs at me I jumped back and dodged them I saw Tammi lunge at Rachel Percy swipes riptide at her and slicked through her cheerleader uniform and she screamed before exploding into dust you killed my trainee you need a lesson in school spirit half blood me and Percy slashed at her but she dodged we kept doing it and she kept dodging them from down the hall came voices Kelli's eyes lit up excellent were about to have company she picked up a tuba and threw it at Percy I sneaked around to the door while she made a scene she saw me and kicked me with her leg and sent me flying through the door before jumping on me bari f her fangs at me and trying to snap at me and kill me I kept her and pushed her off of me I ran toward Percy and Paul walked in Percy Kane what did you do and with that we ran out of the building we burst out of the alley into east 81st and ran straight into annabeth hey you're out early she laughed grabby glee has shoulders watch where your going seaweed brain she looked at my face than Goode behind us and froze than Rachel came out of the alley hey wait up but I pushed her back I told her to go make up a lie and not to mention us to anyone and she ran back to the school we all took off toward a taxi and Percy told her what Kelli said about camp half blood in flames and us being slaves to Kronos your right annabeth said we need to get to camp half blood now.
