Day: 9 the little light joins the strong shadow

Nathen fidgeted with his headphones, wrapping them up around his phone and sliding it into his pocket. He looked out the window with joy in his eyes ready to enter the store.  He was just pulling up to grocery store and why he was so excited was because of what he was buying the food for. His Dad turned the car off and ojlled the keys ojt of the egnition. Nathen unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. Leo was at home playing with his sister, Cassie and they pushed each other back and fourth pretending to be two giant robots and then Leo pushed Cassie and amfe her hit the floor! Then she began to cry as she had hit the claw sticking out of the ground. "Hey, the claws back!" Leo stated, confused. "Cassie stopped crying wiping her eyes, she got up to  see for herself. Yes it was back. You see what had happened was the claw that had simply dissapeared when they weren't looking. (around the time Nathen went home and when Leo and Cassie's parents were home) had suddenly returned. Blocking the hole from sealing the portal if you will to the forest in that strange land. After forgetting about the claw and resuming palyong now onto things like toy cars and Lego Minifigures, it came as a major shock when the claw burst out of the hole! Cassie screamed and Leo jumped backward. They both ran to the other side of the room. Then after seeing that  the claw wasn't moving after it had fallen, the two of the children crept closer to see what it was. They kept their guard to make sure the claw didn't trick them and go after them. But it didn't ever do so. At least the claw didn't. They heard a strange sound and saw a giant Cobra slither up through the hole in the floor. Looking down they saw the same forest. 
It got closer and the children ran into the hallway sprinting faster and faster while screaming their heads off. As soon as they reached Cassie's room they do in and slammed the door. Nathen stood at the checkout line  bored as could be. Until a chill went down his back. He heard a voice whisper to him, hurry and come to the forest as soon as you can! Just think of me and close your eyes when you're going home. There's danger! Nathen heard all of this as if it was whispered in to his ear I real life by a person that couldn't be seen. The person was the bird, he knew it. He began to feel anxious waiting in that long line until it finally came that he made it to the csr and he isntantly put in his earbuds, closed his eyes, put up his hood up, and thought of the bird. His Dad's voice was muffled by the music he was listening to to help him focus on the bird. But right before hi Dad could ask hi my take out hsie earbuds and listen, he opened his eyes to the bright light of the sun in the blue sky above him. He was on a cloud!!! The air was the same as the special world he was coming to know, and he breathed it in preparing to shift from his ordinary school self, to his other wold adventuring hero self. He was he was ready!! Looking down he saw the cloud was moving and asked him for a tip. So he got out his wallet and left a few bucks. But unfortunately for the cloud us. Currency was not accepted in the world he inhabbitted. Nathen jumped off onto a high up branch of a nearby tree, and saw someone climbing out of a tree! It was Leo and Cassie. But Leo was being drug by a snake! He was all wrapped up by the Cobra and  screaming for help!! Cassie ran after him and the snake seem to psy no attention to her. It maybe did this knowing she would follow it on her own. The snake stopped throwing Leo into a cage sitting under a tree. This cage was only exsistant after it stuck out its strange snake toungue and spit ln tje palnts. The cage of thorns and dying flowers isntantly grew and Leo was thrown inside jsut beofore it sealed up!! Then Cassie ran up to it banging on it. She tried to free Leo. But just while Nathen was climbing down to her and the snake he was trapped as the snake spit directly in front of him and created another cage!! Cassie then began to run but the snake slithered u oto her at an incredible speed amd spat on the ground behind her trapping so that as she was running the cage instantly grew in fornt of her. The last two things the snake did were both the worst it could. It slithered all the way to the new location of the portal on he forest floor and pushed out the stuffed animal Cassie had intelligently put in the hole to keep it from sealing. As it fell out the hole sealed in a matter of five seconds. Then, the snake happilly slithered to Leo's cage, and pulled him out  using it's body to wrap around  him, grinning other words if snakes can grin, it definitely was and definitely not an innocent grin at all. The snake screamed and it she'd it's body not just it's skin! Out came a man dressed in a cloak. He took a necklace out from tucked under his shirt, and held it out. Then he grabbed Leo and shoved his hand  into his pocket taking out another necklace with tje other piece of the stone. He put it on Leo. He then told Leo to grab it which  he did though afraid. But seeing the man's eyes he was afraid. He was about to pit it down when the man pit the two peices together and they began to glow!! Nathen was both confused and angry. "Stop!!" Nathen cried out in fear for hi cousin. Then both Leo and thean were glowing the man dark and Leo bright light. Suddenly as if both made of smoke. The two began to glow and fade into a see through body. Within a minute they were completely solid and Leo was no longer there. Nor was the man. There was just one body which consisted of someone who looked alot like an older Leo in his twenties. This Leo was also a bit darker skinned and had lighter hair in fact it was blond not brown anymore. The last differences were the eye color now being purple  and that this person looked both slightly evil and also wanting to cry for help to be saved from himself. "Where is Leo!!!" Cause cried and Nathen trembled. "What have you done to my cousin!!!" Nathen cried out beating against the cage. The man didn't asnwer besides smirking and chuckling. He waved his hand after letting Nathen struggle to escape for around 20 minutes. After being let go Nathen ran at the man. The man looked at Nathen. "Go away!" He saw Leo and heard Leo's voice clearly in this man. Leo was for sure a part of this person. "Nathen how silly of you!" Dont you realize that I'm better now?? I'm with Zanth. Together we make Zal the king of darkness." Zal explained. Nathen ran up and punched Zal hoping to hurt the villian. "I'm gonna break you free Leo you hear me!!" Nathen protested. "No!!! No!" I wanna stay with Zanth!-- no--n-no Nat helpp me" Leo broke through it distictly was his own voice breaking through Zal. The man began to glow and separate! Leo was breaking fred. From the combine person. He tried and as you could see the glowing gas widen into tje shape and   colors and see a see through version of leo and Zanth Nathen saw Zanth grab Leo and glare screaming and the combination was forced abk together into the one person and became solid again! "Leo! I'm here Leo I'm not leaving you with this crazy evil man!! You hear me I'm here and I'll stay here I'm coming back for you!!" He said after crying and resisting the bird that had grabbed him. He had finally realized he couldn't win and settled for coming back. He watched the evil man starting at him and for a few seconds he saw the evil grin be peirced by Leo's cry for help and only that was visible he saw Leo just before he was gone from thst place!
