When I wake up, Cat isn't hugging me, instead I'm in my own bed, tucked in. I get out of bed, and notice my clothes have been changed, wonder how embarrassing that was. I stretch and open my walk in closet, to find a candy red article of clothing, I take it out, and it's a feminine modification to Uncle's suit, instead of a pure blood red suit, it's a black dress shirt, with a red overcoat, and a black skirt., there's stalkings that have an ombre of black to red, and black flats. I put it on and look in the mirror, before doing a small twirl, giggling to myself. The door opens with Cat walking in nonchalantly, starting to say,
"Yo, Em' Gabriel is asking if he's coo-" She cuts herself off as she walks in with my twirl and giggle. Her face flushes but she gets a smirk, "Having fun with your new outfit?" she teases as I giggle, before nodding excitedly. She rolls her eyes and continues her sentence from before, "Gabe wants to know if he's cooking breakfast today." I nod again before Cat walks in and closes the door.
"Why'd you close the door?" I inquire with a slight head tilt, which leads to Cat's face flushing from embarrassment. I tilt my head the other way as Cat interjects with,
"Didn't want a draft coming through, that's all." I nod and smile, walking over and sitting on my bed, patting the seat next to me. She nods and sits next to me, when I notice; she's a lot shorter than I remember, like almost my height, short.
"Ms. Cat, how old are you again?" I inquire. Ms. Cat turns to me, before saying with a confused tone,
"Sixteen, that's why it's odd to hear you call me, 'Ms. Cat'." My face floods twenty-five shades of red as I hide my face in my hands, apologizing repeatedly. "Nah, nah, it's fine Emily; it was cute." I giggle and nod, going to my dresser to find my diary, but it isn't there."Huh...That's odd, it was there last night," I state confusedly, before Cat retorts with,
"What was there last night?" I start to respond, but got cut off by Gabriel shouting,
"Ladies, breakfast's ready!" I sigh and smile at Catherine, before walking off to eat Breakfast, Cat following suit.As we eat Cat and Gabriel have idle chat while I start flipping through the notes Mizu gave me, trying to find any and all history notes I can from it. I barely touch the potato pancakes Gabriel made, instead fixated on the little notebook.
"What's with the notebook you're reading?" Cat questioned, I begin to respond but Gabriel cuts in
"Stupid thing called Lemia or someshit, I don't know," he interjects, which causes Cat's face to contort into thought, before snapping and turning to me.
"Isn't that what the 'Society Of The Blind Eye' practices?" she inquired. I nod with a confused look to me. "I met a member of that guild a few months ago, after I dropped out. I can take you to meet them if you want Emily," Cat claimed with a finger to her mouth as she recalls it. I nod with a smile, Cat smiles back as we go back to eating.
The cold October wind cuts through my light hoodie as Cat leads me to a cozy coffee shop nearby. When we enter, I hear the quiet tune of electro-swing music come from the speakers, as the faint aroma of coffee beans floats into my nose. The walls are decorated with paintings and playbills as Cat looks around, before dragging me to a booth. There a young boy sits with messy brown hair, and a t-shirt with sweatpants on, he has an enchanting smile and he looks around 14 years old, He looks up from his book as soon as we sit down. Cat and him exchange greetings before Cat turns her attention back to me before she introduces me.
"This is Emily, she was looking into the history of Lemia, I think she said it was mainly artifact based research. Say hi my dude," Cat chattered, before the young boy turns to me and smiles warmly at me, before he stated,
