I am brought to a scene I wish I never saw, there was a mountain of dead bodies, many of my friends, others people I've never met, and at the top is a throne of bones. Sitting on the throne is a man with an insane expression, his unnerving eyes glowing a bright gold that fades to silver, my vision starts to focus on his eyes, and I'm pulled into his gaze before I'm thrown into a new scene. This time the man is wearing a black japanese world war II uniform, and he has his brown hair styled elegantly. Cat is facing him with a glare, two daggers in hand, as he towers over her. He strikes at her with his bare hand, and pulls out her entrails and uses them to strangle Mizu and throw her into Cat, who's crumbling to the ground. His gaze turns straight to me, and smiles crazedly.
"Your Lemia won't help you now Emily,~" he says before the scene fades. The next scene is Mom being assassinated, those glowing eyes appearing in the black, before he dashes at her, next thing I see is her entrails on the floor as she drags herself to try and get help. I gag and try to avert my eyes, but the scene follows my gaze. I end up puking before I'm pulled out of my vision.
I shudder and run out, dropping the Oculus Aspicientis. I hear Cat call my name but I don't respond, I just run as fast as possible. When I get home I dive into bed, and my motor functions cut out, frozen in a fetal position, staring at my door. I watch silently, as the door is thrown open, Cat is standing there with a worried expression, she asks questions but I can't respond, Cat has a worried expression when I show consciousness, but no response. I hear her scream for Mizu and Gabe, and I don't remember the rest, except for being rushed to a hospital.
A few weeks later I regain my motor functions, after my episode, but all I do is tremble and answer the doctor's questions. He talks to Mizu and Gabe out of ear shot and both of their eyes inflame, and say something about suing, but I pass out.
The next time I wake up, I'm being held by Mizu, being told that it'll all be alright. I smile and roll over and hug her back. Her eyes light up and she starts to tear up, as she clings to me. I smile at her and let her hug me and cry.
"You're never touching Lemia again, it did this to you," Mizu says and my eyes widen, before I retort with,
"No, no, no, no, no, I got a glimpse of the truth. If you limit me from practicing Lemia, you'll die!" Mizu growls and shakes her head.
"No, that's final missy," she says with a glare. Gabe walks in and Mizu turns to him waving him over, he envelops me in a hug as I hug him back, before he quickly lets go and makes sure I'm alright.
"This young lady wants to practice Lemia after what it did to her!" Mizu exclaims as Gabe looks to me disapprovingly, and sighs.
"Mizu and I agreed that it would be best if we didn't allow you to practice it, it damaged you psychologically, we can't have you die on us," Gabe says with a calm, but commanding voice. I sigh and curl up in bed. They leave me be as I drift off to sleep.
In my dream I'm brought to this odd clearing, the sky is a myriad of blues and purples, as I watch the grassland that expands eternally. I am then stopped by a Panther, A Lynx, A Bat, and a Wombat. They shift from their animal forms into 4 people, The Panther becoming a man who has brown skin with gold eyes that shimmer in the dark, and long black hair in a braid. The Lynx becoming a caucasian woman with long blonde hair, and jade eyes, with freckles. The bat becoming a small boy with tan skin, and silver eyes, making a clicking with their tongue before looking at me. The Wombat turns into a young girl who has brown hair that turns blonde, and hazel eyes that pierce me with a fierce glare. They are all wearing white robes, with golden adornments. I look around awkwardly before looking at them again. The Lynx Woman stepping up, starts to talk to me.
"I am Lobida, the spirit of Loyalty, and the patron spirit of the Melbor or "unseen tranquility" clan. We have brought you to the land of spirits to teach you that what you have forgotten. Now walk with me young maiden," Lobida says before turning and starting to walk, I follow and the others turn back into their animal forms, following behind us. Lobida settles on a small hill, and I sit next to her, as she crosses her legs and starts to meditate, I do the same.
"Focus on your breathing, and reach into yourself, try and find your elkira, or "Soul gems" and try to manipulate them with your energy," Lobida says as I grunt softly to show I understand, as I follow her instructions. As I attune my first elkira, I see a small sapling, growing into a great oak. I sigh and wait a few minutes before working on the next one. As I attune every elkira, a new image appears in my head, and that's when I see Mom again, and I start to well up with tears. Soon after I open my eyes to find that I cried a bit, with tear stains on my white dress, Lobida smiles at me before shifting back into a Lynx, The Panther shifts into a human and that's when I notice he reminds me of someone. He steps forward and says,
"I am Kormintra, the Spirit of Strength, and the patron spirit of the ordani, or "unrivaled strength" clan. I'm also the man you saw in your dreams as a young girl."
