Film/Book Series: Harry Potter
Characters: Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Lucius Malfoy, Professor Lupin

He wasn't scared.

Of course he wasn't scared; he had no reason to be. This was just a stupid class with a stupid teacher and a really incredibly stupid practical lesson.

Draco nodded to himself. Yes that was it, this class was just as ridiculous as the spell they needed to defeat the boggart with.

Lupin had asked them all to think of their worst fear but considering Draco was a Malfoy and Malfoys weren't meant to be scared of anything, then he could probably skip learning this defensive phrase.

He wasn't scared.

He wasn't scared because he wasn't even going to participate. There was no need to.

And if by some misfortune he did end up in the line it'd be a waste anyway. The boggart would have nothing to transform into and probably bust a nut trying to think of something.

Did boggarts even have nuts to bust?

They're probably gender neutral considering all they do is transform into someone's greatest fear.

What if someone feared a boggart itself?

Draco couldn't ponder this for very long as he found himself being pushed forwards by the crowd of other students rushing to form a line. And he was slap bang in the middle of it.

But hey. What did it matter? He probably wouldn't even get a go so he didn't need to worry. Everything would be fine.

Draco glanced up just in time to see his godfather staggering around in shoes definitely not designed for his feet and a large floppy hat dipping down over his face.

A smile broke across the features of the young slytherin's face as he stifled a laugh. Snape wouldn't be pleased when he heard about this lesson.

Weasley was up next and to literally no one's surprise, the boggart took the form of a huge spider. It's pincers snapped menacingly as it inched towards Weasley but only a moment later he has cast Riddikulus and the spider was no more.

And then it was Draco's turn. Despite him definitely not being scared he couldn't help but gulp. Someone jabbed him sharply in the back, making him stumble forward.

He whirled round to face the culprit and found himself stood before Potter.

Ah.

Trying not to think about his really hugely massive crush on Potter, he instead decided to sneer at him.

Potter smirked smugly and gestured towards the boggart that had yet to transform.

"Scared Malfoy?"

"You wish."

Draco turned back around and took a tentative step towards the boggart. The clown that Patil had created only moments ago swung down close to him. As it leant back again the boggart finally began to transform.

His stomach dropping, Draco gripped his wand a little tighter, hoping against hope that it would not transform into what he feared it would.

But it did.

Lucius Malfoy now stood before him. His cane clicked against the wooden flooring as he moved closer to Draco.

Everyone in the room had fallen silent as they realised what this meant.

Draco couldn't help but flinch as his father's hand gripped the top of the cane and pulled his wand from it.

"Now Draco." Lucius said with a tight lipped smile. "I told you what would happen if you disappointed me. I told you that I would have to use the Cruciatus Curse on you again if you couldn't follow instructions.

Just as boggart Lucius raised his wand he was cut off by Draco.

"Riddikulus." He faltered, and Lucius now appeared with his hair in rollers and his feet stuffed into a pair of high heels.

Lupin decided to end the class there and sent the boggart back into the wardrobe, locking it firmly.

Draco could feel the class' eyes on him so he did the only thing he could think of. He left the classroom. But not because he was scared.

No, not because of that.

After all. Malfoys are not allowed to get scared.
