Something Between Us

Chapter 6

All I hear his heart beating - the army man's . I opened my eyes and saw that  he is resting. I see that his face is calm and warm.

I looked where I am . I see that I on the chair .

I see that all the doctors  are gone .

Only Davis  but no Cameron

He is  looking at me .

" Oh well " said  Davis " you are  awake "

" What happened? "

He pressed his lips . Something tells that I am  expecting any not good news from him.

" Well you fainted when his heart went regular .I think you didn't have anything in the morning."said he as gave  me plastic cup filled with water .

I drank it.

" Thanks "

He smiled.

Oh yeah . God know why my heart  and his heart beat same .

Sparks is falling for the patient .

Just shut up   .I told myself

" so how is he ? " said I as nervous 

"Well he will soon wake up and I want you take care of him . Not today but tomorrow.  " said He .

I nodded .

But for Cameron. She was not there when I think she made an  exit .

In my memory  , it went back to Cameron's story  .She told that she had brother who went to the army for protect the country . I guess I will  wait for the answers  from the patient.

I looked at him . He have bruises in cheekbone and the cut which is in  stickes  . It covered with white bandage.

" Sparks ?"

I turned my attention to Davis  . On his face , which showed upon , a cute puppy eyes of his.  He looked so innocent when someone is making a good move . Sometime he looked so pissed if that he is going to punch someone which is going be  not pretty .

He is  better than the male models who  show up in the magazines because  of his face .

" yes ?"

My expection was that he will me  ask for a date . I am happy to that .

"Are you falling for him ? " ask Davis

That is not expecting from him .He is standing on the left side . I guess that he will ask me later . I don't know to answer  his question .

" I barely know him, Daivs " I said, sound causal .

His face  fell .

" Oh I thought "  said he .

" you thought what ? said  I , wanting  to know .

" Well you know that I maybe having a date for us ."

I am shocked by his words that asking me for date. I don't what say to him .

"For what ? That I am going date with you ? "

He looked at me and all I see his hazel eyes . There is nothing in his eyes but only few red lines over his eyes . I think that he is not  sleeping in the night .

" Well it is not a date but talk  about my problem . Anyway you are my friend to talk and solve my problems ."

Oh well I didn't know that even Davis has problems in his life .

Then a voice in my head  which was a sweet voice ." Darling , everyone has problems  only not you "
This was said when I doing for medical field . The encourage  voice was like advice  to me . I accept it.

I know that voice . It is grandma. She told me when I having problems with people I talk to .

"Spark ,Are you there? " asked Davis

I turned back from reality .

" Yeah right here " said I

" Well Davis  what is your problems?  maybe I can solve as maximum as I can .

He hesited for a moment and said " I think it is best talk in private ."

He walk and I rose upon the chair .

I walk towards the door so does Davis .He opened the door and geuteues  me to go .

I made a last look on him . I guess I should be leaving and I told myself that  I am gonna be back . But I can't David told me that I should leave for one day. 

Only one day - that is today.

Maybe I can come here in tomorrow   .

Then I came out  the room .

He looked at me  and  said " I have someone in my life but it not you. "

Okay I knew Davis is keeping somethings from me.

" Well who is it ? Anyone  from Hospital ?"

"Not anyone from hospital but outside and  her name is Halsye Hunt ."

David  has a girlfriend.
