Chapter 3: The Pretty Athena

"I think you're his target,"

My hair suddenly starts to stand on its own, sending shivers down to my spine. I can't believe what Daphgne just said. Yuzuru? Me as his target? For what?

"I think flies will start coming for your mouth," Yuzuru said and my mouth immediately shut.

Second freaking embarassment! I need to escape this situation. ASAP!

I dragged Daphgne with me and started to walk past him. When I thought that it's over, he grabbed my arms and pulled me closer.

He suddenly leaned in and whispered, "Are you just going to ignore me?"

Of course! This situation is really uncomfortable to me. Especially, when the students are now looking right at us! I screamed inside my head. My mouth gaped open to say something but immediately backed down.

My glasses started to fall from the tip of my nose. I can't adjust it back because he's holding me and my other arms is carrying loads of books!

I silently prayed that it wont fall to the ground because I can't afford to buy another glasses. I already told you that I'm broke and trying to balance my spendings.

The glasses were just about to fall when Yuzuru adjust it for me. He gently placed back perfectly the glasses and now I can see him better.

His eyes are sparking and pimples is not present in his face. It's like a baby skin. Really soft-looking but his features says otherwise. The jawline was so sharp that it can possibly kill someone.

"Done staring?" He chuckled and I pulled my arm back. I stumbled back and thank God that Daphgne was right there to support me. My brain quickly commanded my whole body to flee from the scene.

I dragged Daphgne with me and walked past Yuzuru. Shit. I could literally feel all eyes on me. I expecting him to stop me once more but it didn't happen. I'm so relieved I could cry.

Before I took a turn, I glanced back to Yuzuru and saw him smirking. He waved his hands at me like we're close. Heck no!

This was the fastest walk I have ever done in my life. My brain just went on full emergency mode. I think I'm getting on Flash's level because of my speed.

We finally got out of the building and it was the best feeling ever. I never hated school to the point that I don't want to consider entering it. The only problem I got is with the students. The mentality that they are above others and the ranking system based on popularity just doesn't make any sense. If this weren't my dream school, I wouldn't have even entered it.

There is only one thing that my mind keeps on repeating: Get out of the school.

I frantically went to the school's garage to find my bike. The attention I got from what happened earlier made me so nervous that I didn't notice my bike was in front of me.

"Hey, Athena. Calm down," Daphgne said, rubbing my back.

"I can't! What if I'm really his new target? I won't be able to live my school life peaceful ever again," I told her while searching for the keys to my bike.

I found it and tried to insert it in the padlock but my hands keep shaking that I kept on missing the lock. I just want to get out of this place and do my homeworks. Becaause of irritation, tears just suddenly appeared in the corner of my eye.

Daphgne grabbed my hand and stared directly at me. "I'm here okay? You don't need to be worried. Let's talk it out later through the phone. Now, take a deep breath,"
