Grease woke Raven up the next morning. When Raven woke up, Grease was holding a knife in front of his face. Raven closed his eyes tight. He knew that if Grease wanted to hurt him, he wouldn't be stupid enough, considering the ability he had inside of him. He warped inside of Tommy's body and then he warped back to his own time, to prevent himself from attacking Grease. "Are you insane?! Do you want me to kill you?!" Raven shouted. "I...Guess I didn't think that through... I was about to suggest we practice our street act by juggling knives!" "We?" Raven replied. "Come on, man! I'm counting on you!" Raven sighed and summoned Tommy. Tommy woke up in W's car. Where am I? Tommy thought. I don't know, but I need your help again... Raven said, sounding less than thrilled. Okay... Tommy replied, as they warped to the future.
Raven gestured for Grease to hand him the knife. He pictured the knife like a spinning ball. It just barely missed his hands, as he juggled them back and forth. "Hold your hands out." Raven instructed. Grease obliged, then Raven tossed the floating knife over to Grease. Grease moved his hand in an upward motion from one hand to the next and then tossed it back to Raven again. They practiced juggling it back and forth, for a few minutes. "I think we got one knife down, let's try with two!" Grease went and grabbed another knife. Raven hovered the knife out of Grease's hand with his mind and into his own hand. He threw one knife into the air and tossed the other knife as it floated into Grease's hand. Then Grease tossed the knife back as it hovered quickly back into Raven's hand and Raven floated the other knife, that was falling, over to Grease with his other hand. Raven then tossed the knife in his hand, into the air and Grease tossed the other knife back into Raven's other hand. They practiced this for a half hour or so until they felt they had it down. Raven also practiced twirling both knives on his fingertips. "This is kind of like training for me, with my powers. Keeps me focused on coordination!" "Just make sure you stay focused!" Raven cocked his eyebrow at Grease. "I'm doing you a favor here, so I hope you're not threatening me. You've seen what happens when people threaten me!" He said. Grease shook his head. "Just don't let me down! This is important!" He replied.
The next day, Raven decided to go for a morning ride before work. He started to feel like Grease was depending on him too much. He never had time to himself anymore. Why couldn't Grease come up with a street act on his own? He had his own worries to deal with! His main focus was Fiona, but Grease tried to make this all about himself. I should just tell him to figure out his own act and leave me alone! Besides, it's not fair to the kid, either! Without him, there would be no act!
There was a burger joint nearby, so Raven decided to get a bite to eat. He walked into the dirty looking venue and waited in line. There was a heavy set woman in front of him, with an oxygen tank beside her. It was a sad sight to see in a place like that. That place was bad for your health, technically, but in this woman's case, really bad for her health! There were children eating with their parents, at tables nearby, it made Raven think of the daycare center. I want to stop by there, but since that guard died, it's not a good idea. He thought. The woman in front of him started coughing and hacking up a lung with every word she tried to say. Hopefully she wasn't contagious! Ten minutes later, Raven was finally at the front of the line. He rolled his eyes and looked at a clock nearby. He had to eat faster, if he didn't want to be late for work. He gave the cashier at the front his order and waited a few minutes to receive it. Right when they handed him his bag, a bearded man with messy hair walked over and pointed two guns, one at Raven and one at the cashier. "Don't move!!! I will put a bullet in your brain!" He said to Raven. "You! Empty the register!" He shouted at the cashier. Raven's eyes flashed green and then he blacked out.
When he regained consciousness, a dark haired woman with a cashier's uniform was tapping his face, trying to wake him up. "Sir, are you alright? The police are on their way!" Raven sat up at the sound of that word. "Police? Why?" "To arrest that guy!" The woman pointed to the unconscious thug twitching on the ground. "I need to get out of here..." "Why? Are you a criminal?" "No, but I've been at the wrong places at the wrong times, lately. They treat me like a criminal..." "Stay here, let me help clear you!" She replied. Raven shrugged. "Here's your order, you can sit down and eat, until they get here." She continued. He started to walk over to his table, when she called out again. "By the way, where did you learn to do that?" "Do what?" She signaled for Raven to follow her to the back, where there was a monitor with security footage. She rewound the footage. After the bearded man told the cashier to open the register, Raven jumped onto the counter and drove his knee into the man's chin, before he could fire a single shot. The man hit the floor and the guns slid away. "Then you just stood there and passed out." He never actually saw what happened on a camera before. It was a horrifying sight to see! He didn't know what was happening to him, but he was genuinely afraid.
When the police arrived, the cashier explained everything. One of the officers shook his head and laughed. "Well, I can't book you, this time!" The officer joked. "I guess I'll see you at the next crime scene!" The two officers walked out the door and Raven sat down to finish his food. On his way out, the cashier called out to him again. "Hey!" She shouted. "Thank you..." "It was nothing." Raven said, as he walked out the door. It really was nothing. Raven had no recollection of anything, as if he wasn't the one in control! It can't be Tommy. He thought. I'd remember at least something if Tommy took over.
The next morning, Raven and Grease practiced their routine. Tommy was barely conscious when Raven summoned him, but it worked, nonetheless. Raven gestured for Grease to hold up his index finger, then he twirled the knife on his own index finger and sent it spinning, with his mind, over to Grease. They practiced for a couple hours, then had breakfast and Raven went off to work.
They registered for their act on a street corner, the next day. The district gave them an electronic tablet, where people would be asked to scan their finger, if the act met their approval. A chubby blonde woman with long bushy hair laughed, watching them toss the knives, just being around that intensity was enough for some people. She agreed to put her fingerprint down. So they at least got the approval of one person. Shortly after, more and more people supported them. It was a daring and dangerous act, that put people on the edge of their seats... or so the public thought.
Raven heard a woman screaming moments later, as he spiked one of the knives in the ground and caught the other one in his right hand. He looked over to a woman being dragged away in broad daylight. He told everyone to clear a path, as he focused on the assailant's rear and tossed his knife. Everyone moved out of the path. The knife shot straight into the man's buttcrack, as he grabbed the knife with one hand. The woman bit his other hand and ran free. The attacker pulled the knife out and looked Raven straight in the face. The man was short and chubby. He had dark hair, a wide nose and a moustache. The man charged at Raven with the knife in his hand! As he attempted to stab Raven with his right hand, Raven swung behind him and put him in a sleeper hold. All he had to do was picture the man falling asleep and it knocked him out, instantly! Then he rose up, as the crowd cheered him on. Grease passed the tablet around and they all gave them their stamp of approval.
They decided to wrap it up after that and the crowd dispersed. "That was perfect!" "That was not supposed to happen!" Raven responded. "You know, I bet if we got permission to have choreographed fights, we could start our own wrestling league! With your powers to guide us, of course!" "You don't need my powers for a wrestling league!" "I know, but think of all the crazy things we could do with that!" "Let's go, I need to get to work!" Raven hopped on his speeder and Grease followed. Before they took off, Raven noticed a white purse on the ground with green blotches on it. "Wait a second..." Raven hopped off the bike and inspected the purse. He opened it and took out an ID tag inside of it. It was Fiona's.
