Chapter 25

Tommy and W. drove by a bank in Orlando, the next day. "I have warehouses hidden all over the states, so when I stop running. I'll pick up all the bags in one big swoop." W. said to Tommy. The bank was guarded by squad cars, police and guards that stood in front, inside and in back "Okay, I think I have an idea, but we're heading to Bass Pro Shop to get some binoculars!" "Why?" Tommy asked. "We're going to test out your long range attacks!" W. replied.

When Tommy walked into Bass Pro Shop, it was like a taxidermist's dream! Dead ducks were dangling from wires. There were dead brown bears off to the sides, mountain lions, deer and anything else you could find in the wilderness. As Tommy walked around, he saw hunting gear, clothing and fishing poles. When he got to the freshwater fish tank, he stopped to watch them swim. He never really saw a fish that close before! He was in awe. They saw Tommy through the glass and scurried away. He wished he could just sit there and relax all day, but that thought was soon broken by W's voice. "There you are! I've been lookin' everywhere! We gotta split. I already paid. Let's go!" Then they walked out to the car and headed back to the bank.

On the way to the bank, Tommy summoned Raven. Raven was at the shipping center with Laurel. He suddenly noticed Tommy. Raven: AGAIN?! DAMNIT! He thought, as he warped over to Tommy's mind. I know you can pull me here, but if I really wanted to, I could keep warping back, basically delaying your powers. - Tommy: I can also warp into your mind and take over without you knowing! - Raven: I'd be doing this for your own good, though! If you mess with my life, that's different! They pulled into a car wash parking lot, a few buildings down from the bank. W. handed Tommy the binoculars. "Okay, try to take out the guards." Tommy raised the binoculars to his eyes and W. did the same, with his own pair. Tommy pictured two giant hands picking the guards up and slamming their heads together, as they flew into the air, collided and fell flat on their backs. "Perfect! Now, take out the cameras!" Tommy pictured both security cameras in the back exploding, they exploded like a quiet bomb. They put their masks on and walked over to the bank. W. shot both guards in the head. Tommy took a few steps back and told W. to do the same. He pictured a giant boulder smashing through the back wall, through the concrete and steel, which created an opening for them to walk through. Raven: You are starting to get really comfortable with this! – Tommy: The colder I become, the easier it will be to put W. on ice! Two guards were blown back from the blast. They pointed their guns at Tommy and W. Tommy telekinetically tossed their guns out, through the hole in the wall. Then he bashed their heads together, knocking them out. W. was about to shoot them, when Tommy tossed them out the hole in the back and put a field up so no one could get in. "I put a force field up. Get the money and I'll hit them with an energy blast to clear our path. I can put a force field around us, too!" The vault door started to open, but Tommy sent a burst of energy and slammed it shut! Outside the hole, 4 police officers shot at the force field. W. gathered the money into the duffel bag, as Tommy blocked both entry ways. When W. was finished, Tommy sent a giant wave of energy out, sending all 4 officers flying 10 feet back, as they fell to the ground. "Now get them up and knock them out." "Okay, but nobody has to die! We have a force field!" Tommy used his mind to lift all 4 of them and bashed their heads together, which knocked them unconscious. Then he surrounded both himself and W. with a beam of energy that created a force field. They crossed through the parking lots to get to their van. The officers got out of their squad cars and chased after them. Tommy turned his head and blew them back a few feet with another wave of energy, as if the the force field expanded and knocked the men off their feet. They arrived at the van, W. put the money in back and then got in the driver's seat. Three squad cars blocked them from backing out and then three more squad cars blocked them from going forward. "Get us outta here, kid!" W. exclaimed. Tommy pictured a force field around their van. He focused on the cars behind them, blew out each of their tires and sent them skidding backward, to make room for their escape. W. backed out, as he maneuvered the card forward, Tommy pictured the car flying. They were floating above all the other cars. "Good thinkin, kid." W. said to him. Raven: This is getting out of control! How far are you willing to take this?! Tommy: He has my parents hostage, so until he says so... Raven: First, Fiona goes missing, now your family is held hostage! This is starting to take a toll on me! Two squad cars followed behind them, from down below. Tommy blew their tires. Two more squad cars, coming from behind, collided into the fallen cars ahead. W. ditched the van a few blocks down and they tossed their masks. He took the duffel bag, they hurried along through the parking lots and crossed train tracks, into a forest area where they came across a warehouse. "When you deal with money, you have to make certain investments." They walked in and dropped off the duffel bag, then W. grabbed another ID. "I should probably pick up another bag. When we hit another bank, we don't want to walk around with this thing." Then they leave the warehouse and walk down the road to another hotel. "We're taking tomorrow off. You could probably use the time to re-energize and we need to get new clothes for you and me. I've got 2 mil so far, from these heists. So I guess clothing is another necessary investment, to keep ourselves from being recognized." Tommy nodded. Raven: I hate to say this, but when this is all over, what's to stop W. from killing you in your sleep? - Tommy: He'll kill my parents! What else can I do?! - Raven: My parents died as well, sometimes you just have to let them go and fight on! - Tommy: No! That's not an option! I'll find another way! - Raven: I'll try to come up with a plan. Just be careful!

W. called his brother Sam, to confirm his own safety. Tommy was flipping a plastic cup that he found on the night stand, in their room. W. got off the phone. "Cut that out! Watch some T.V. or somethin'!" Tommy shrugged and turned on the T.V. with his mind. "I'm gonna hop in the shower. You just relax! After that, I'll order a pizza!" W. said, as he dropped his jacket and tossed his shirt on the floor. When W. turned on the water, Tommy felt evil. When he heard the shower turn on, a minute later, he pictured the toilet flushing. W. yelped and then came rushing out in a towel, a few seconds later. "Do that again and see what happens, kid!" Tommy laughed. "You won't be laughing, if you keep that up! I'm goin' back in there. Do it again and I call Sam!' He lectured. Then W. went back into the bathroom and took his shower. Tommy smirked, it was worth it, considering all they've been through. Tommy: Gotta have a little fun, right? – Raven: He deserved that, but just be careful! You never know when he could snap!

After W. got out of the shower. He was in his boxers, he put on his shirt and his socks then said "You know what? I decided... I won't let this threaten our little business relationship we got goin', but trust me, I'll get you back for that little prank!" W. told him.

A few seconds later, someone pounded at the door. "Police! Open up!"
