As I swipe my card on the sign-in register I feel arms wrap around my body "Hey, You'll never guess who's out there?" Perrie says smiling like an idiot
"Justin Bieber?" I ask spluttering out getting slightly exited
"As if he would be here" she laughs "that's a good one" she hits my arm laughing "guess again" she leans against the wall folding her arms across her body
"DJ Khaled?" I shout trying to imitate him
"Gosh Lou, your bad at this just go out and see" she pushes me out of the door I look around and can't seem to find anyone that would be obvious that she wants me to look at. "See them yet?" She asks coming up behind me I shake my head frowning. She grabs hold of my head and points me in the direction I look at her and gasp that's, that's him. He's with some guys this time looks like a typical lads night out.
"See, knew you'd like it" she says "why don't you go and talk to him?" She says she nods her head in his direction "I can hold this fort up for a while" she pushes me
"You serious? He likes girls Pez, in just going to make a huge mess if I go and talk to him" I push myself backwards
"Okay, I won't push you" she says "but you can serve him though" she winks as he starts walking this way he's wearing a black t-shirt and some black skinny jeans with some Chelsea boots. I turn to look at her shaking my head as she walks off.
"Hey can I have a round of tequila shots" he says handing me a twenty pound note
"Sure mate, that date the other night end on a high?" I ask him he looks at me confused then remembers it's like a light bulbs had just clicked his face lights job
"Oh yeah, don't think I'll see her again though... Hoping to get lucky tonight" he says looking around the room his eyes land on this leggy blonde girl he bites his lip
"You like the look of her?" I ask him his head turns back to me he nods
"Fit huh?" He raised his eye brows I can't help but laugh "might give it a go" he says as I finish pouring his shots
"Good luck" I tell him as he starts to walk off he turns back
"I don't need luck" he shouts above the music
"Ay, not so bad huh?" Perrie says laughing
I laugh "it was horrible... Chatting about girls to him. Like come on" I shake my head running my hands through my hair
"Lads, Lads, Lads!" I look over and see him and his group of friends down those shots he then walks over to the girl that he had eyed up before.
Perrie walks up to me "I see you eying him up" she laughs "why not ask him out?"
I laugh at her "your joking right...he is most definitely straight. No way he would be into any guy. Are you not seeing him grinding on her?" I look at her her eyes are bulging out in disbelief
"I wasn't expecting that" she says in astonishment shaking her head. To be honest that's not what I expected him to be like. He looked so shy, so insecure the other week he came in... Then tonight it's like he's a different person maybe it's because he's with his mates and he's playing it up.
As the night goes on, the music gets louder, the floor gets crowded with people dancing. A guy comes up to the bar and starts to flirt with Perrie I take a cigarette out of my wallet and head to the back door.
I push the door open and am met with the cold autumn breeze hitting my warm and flustered body. My back hits the wall and I sigh a sigh of relief just two more hours of work then home. I take a lighter out of my pocket and place the cigarette between my lips lighting it. I relax into the wall. The door opens next to me it's that guy again
"Hey Mr. Barman" he says staggering towards me he leans against the wall "haven't got a spare one going have you?" He asks pointing to my cigarette
"You smoke?" I ask him in astonishment, he doesn't seem the type to smoke
"No I've never done it before but thought I'd like to share a moment with you" he laughs "of course I do... Just been trying to give up. But who can resist that?" He smiles a big toothy grin. I know who can't I look at his smile, his teeth are perfect, is anything not about this guy? "Please?" He says raising his eye brows
I pass him a cigarette and my lighter he smiles, taking ahold of them both he fumbles around abit before he puts the cigarette between his teeth, he then lifts the lighter up and lights the cigarette. He coughs, and coughs again. I look at him
"You've never done this before have you?" I laugh at him "oh my god, why the hell did I believe you?" I shake my head
"Okay maybe I did lie. I've always wanted to try, because smoking looks cool" he says looking at me
"Trust me it's not. It's a bad habit" I tell him. I put throw mine on the floor and put my foot on top twisting it putting it out. "I'll see you around" I say walking back off inside
"Hey,thanks Mr. Barman" he says
"It's Louis" I smile walking into the building again and walking back behind the bar I engulf Perrie "you'll never guess who just had their first cigarette with me?"
"Who?" She says looking confused "oh not that guy?" I nod "what's his name?" She asks
"I don't know, I told him mine because he kept calling me 'Mr. Barman' never thought to ask him his" I shake my head beating myself up about it.
"Go and bloody ask him" she says raising her voice I shake my head "now Louis!" She says pushing me away.
I walk back out to the door the cold hitting me again. I close the door and am met with a sight that I didn't want to see. He's got a girl pinned up against the wall snogging her I clear my throat and walk over the the bins I lift the lid off and slam it down
They look over towards me and she walks off back inside "hey Louis" his deep husky voice says
"Hey..." I say in hope he would fill in the gap
"Harry" he says, that's right I remember that woman saying his name now from that night
"Hey Harry" I smile "enjoy that cigarette?" I ask him
"It was alright actually" he says laughing "hey now that we're on first name basis, do I get a discount around here?"
I laugh "sorry but that's not exactly how it works, my boss would sack me" I laugh "sorry to ruin your hopes... I best get back, see you" wave to him as I open the door and get back to what I'm supposed to be doing.
