Betty's POV
"Jug, I have to go. I'm gonna miss my flight" I said."I know, I know. I just..."
"You just what? Jug I know this is difficult for you, it is for me too."
"Please just give us a chance. I'll wait for you, I'll-"
"No Jug. I can't let you sit around waiting for me to come back to Riverdale. You can't waste your life on me, there's better people than me. If we stay together then you can't go forward in life. We can't hang on to eachother." I said with tears in my eyes.
"Betts, I wouldn't be wasting anything. I can't just forget you" he sighed.
"I'm not asking you to. I'm asking you to move forward, find a beautiful girl who shares your passions and treats you incredibly well. You don't need me. When I'm back maybe we can get in touch, but I'm going to be gone a while and you can't wait around."
"I...I.. I don't think I can" He said unwilling and looked down.
"Hey, you're going to be fine. As am I" I said cupping his cheeks.
"I love you" he said looking into my eyes.
"I love you too" I said. I dropped my arms and grabbed my suitcase. As I began to walk away wiping my tears I heard a voice.
"Betty!" Jughead shouted running up to me.
I looked into his eyes in question. Before I knew it our lips were touching whilst his hands travelled around my waist and mine around his neck. It was passionate yet sweet. I pulled away and he wiped my tears.
"Bye Cooper" he said lightly.
"So long Jones" I smiled and turned around walking away.
Walking away from my past. From my home. From my friends. From him.
