season 1 episode 12: a new journey

here comes another crazy ep! I'm so sorry it's taken so long again I'm catching up on school work and filling out college apps and that's taking up most of my time hopefully after the holidays it'll be a lot better and I'll have more time fingers crossed!

Klaus' POV

"You aren't going to die yet, not today." I whispered as a tear slipped out, searching for the white oak bullet. Her body starting to decay as she tried telling me something her breathing slowing, gasping for air. "Nik, please," she breathed out, "I'm- I'm pr-" was all she got out before the white oak fully took over her heart. Her body decaying in my arms, as tears brimmed my eyes. I carried her and sped to her room laying her on the bed gently. "I love you, Zara." I finished as tears fell down my face. I walked downstairs wiping away my tears, to find my siblings gathered in the main room. "They have white oak," I stated as I walked towards the liquor, pouring myself a drink. "They killed her," I yelled as I threw the cup, glass shattering everywhere. "Zara?" Rebekah asked unsteadily, a tear slipping down my cheek as she mentioned her name confirming her assumption. I fell to my knees as Rebekah came running over holding me as Elijah walked away upstairs furious. "We should move her body then, Nik." Rebekah suggested as she let go of me, "no!" I yelled causing her to wince, "leave it," I said as I walked away. I went back upstairs to the lifeless corpse of Zara, "the first day we met I knew you were special but, I never imagined you'd be more powerful me, much likely die before me. I'm gonna get them back, even if that means me dying while trying, just for you." I finished as I grabbed her hand and kissed it as the decaying started to disappear. "Zara?" I called as she opened her eyes, "Nik," she said as she smiled lazily "they can't get rid of me that easily," she smirked "here drink this, love." I said as I bit into my wrist moving it to her mouth. She leaned up to kiss me, "how are you, here?" I asked in disbelief, "well, that's what I was trying to tell you," she said as she picked up my hand kissing it, "I'm pregnant, Nik, it saved me." she said uneasily. "What do you mean, pregnant?" I asked standing up, "like pregnant, baby and all." She giggled as she looked up at me but quickly stopped as she saw my face.

Zara's POV

"I'm pregnant, Nik, it saved me." I said uneasily not knowing how he'd respond. "What do you mean, pregnant?" He asked standing up, "like pregnant, baby and all." I giggled as I looked up at him but quickly stopped as I saw his face. "Niklaus," I started, "don't be mad, it kinda took the two of us, I didn't do this on purpose." I finished, "are you sure it's even mine?" He asked, "yes, I'm sure." I stated, "I don't know about you but I haven't been with anyone else," I said getting up a little wobbly, as he helped me, "no, don't, don't touch me, if you don't want anything to do with me or this baby then just tell me Niklaus I'm sick of these games." I stated as I walked out the room walking into Elijah, "I'm sorry, Lijah, I was just leaving." I seethed as I grimaced at Nik, "when you know what you want let me know, I'll be at the Salvatores." I stated before I sped away.

Klaus' POV

"What was that all about brother? I thought she was dead." Elijah asked as he looked at me shocked. "She's pregnant, the baby, it healed her." I explained, "I implied that it might've not been mine." I stated as I started to walk away, "well that's the issue, brother, implying that she's been with someone else, refusing that the baby is yours. "I don't need a baby, I don't want a baby, it's probably not even mine. We can't procreate." I stated, "but brother, the werewolf can, and you both are apart of that species." He stated the obvious, "it's rare, but it happened and it happened to you two so why not appreciate it? If you abandon that baby you abandon her as well." He shrugged as he started walking away, "just tell her how you feel, you've already told us, she needs to hear it Niklaus." He finished as he walked down the steps, I followed suit. On my way to the Salvatore's.

Zara's POV

I arrived at the Salvatore's everyone in the main room drinking and playing twister. "Looks like I walked in on a party." I laughed as I looked at the positions everyone was in. "Join us!!" A drunk Damon appeared as he walked in with more bottles of liquor. "I'll spin the colors." I giggled as I sat on the couch. "Who's next?" I asked as Elena shouted, "Okay um, Elena right foot blue." I started, "Mason, right hand green. Spencer left foot red." And so the night went on full of laughter and drunk friends. Well, that was till Niklaus stepped foot into the residence. "Zara, I need to talk to you," he started, "Fine, but outside." I stated as I set down the color wheel and cup of liquor I was holding for Lydia. "So, you're just gonna go drinking away your problems while pregnant with our baby?" He questioned as he cocked his head to the side, "that's how you solve your problems and if you must know I wasn't drinking." I stated crossing my arms while staring at his tall stature towering over me, "and you didn't even want anything to do with this baby! You thought I was lying Niklaus! Why would I lie about something like that? To keep you with me? I don't need to pretend to be pregnant to keep you with me, Nik. I know when I'm not wanted and you clearly don't so I'll stay at the Salvatore's with all my friends." I finished as I huffed walking away till, Klaus stopped me, pulling and spinning me around to land in his chest. "Now, I didn't have a chance to speak." He whispered, as he kissed my forehead, "I love you, Zara, I want to be with you and the little miracle we've created. I knew you were special from the first day we met. I never imagined you'd be more powerful than me." He said as he brought my hands up to his mouth kissing them and bending down and kissing my stomach. "I'm sorry I thought you were lying. It just doesn't happen very often." He finished, "its a little miracle isn't it?" I whispered as I stood on my tippy toes kissing him, "but, you need to trust me Niklaus I know it isn't easy for you. But, I'm not here to hurt you or lie to you, I'm here to love you Nik." I said realising that's the first time I've said it out loud. "Can we go back home?" I asked as I looked up at him releasing him from our hug. "Of course, Love," he smiled as we sped back.

"Omg Zara!!" Rebekah screeched as I walked through the door, "hi!" I exclaimed, as I hugged her, "I thought you were dead?" She questioned as she looked at me, "well, a little miracle happened," I said as I walked back towards Niklaus interlacing our fingers. "A little baby miracle, he or she saved me." I stated as I started smiling.

Nik's POV

"Omg, does that mean I'm gonna be an Auntie?" Rebekah exclaimed eagerly, running over to me and hugging us. "I suppose so," I responded smiling while I put my arm around Zara. "Let's go upstairs shall we?" I asked as I walked toward the steps Zara following behind. "Do you think it'll be safe now? Now that they think I'm dead?" She asked as she sat on the bed as I took my shirt off, "we could only hope so, love, but nothings ever safe in mystic falls." I replied knowing fully well that this wasn't over and that they weren't going to stop anytime soon and that this was just the beginning.
