Falling For You - Rilaya

Sorry this took me fifteen years to update. I've been having a lot of writers block lately. I promise I haven't forgotten about this book :) - liarmuch

Maya POV

"Riley, I really don't think this is a good idea." I say with uncertainty as I follow the brunette into the ice skating rink. She laughs as we enter and she goes to get our skates. "Don't worry, Peaches. You'll be just fine."

"In my 18 years of living on this planet, I have never once been ice skating. What makes you think this is a good idea?" I ask as she hands me my skates and leads me to a bench to sit down. I look at her, and can't help but smile at her excitement.

"Because it's fun Peaches! You'll love it!" Riley gushes as she gets her skates on. She stands up as I finish getting mine on, and I look up at her with a smile and bat my eyelashes at her.

"Oh fine. Come here." She says and offers both of her hands to me. I smile brightly as I take them and she slowly pulls me off of the bench and onto the rink.

We slowly make a lap around the edge and I can't help the large smile that stays plastered on my face as we move. Riley is holding onto my left hand while my right hand is holding onto the edge of the rink. She brings my hand to her lips, and places several kisses on my knuckles.

After several minutes of us making laps like this, Riley turns to me and smiles. "I think you're ready for the middle of the rink." My eyes widen and I stare at her. "I don't think-"

I'm cut off when she pulls me more towards the center and let's go of my hand. "Riley!" I squeal and she just gives me a thumbs up before gracefully gliding across the ice. I shake my head as I slowly make my way around the rink, and I can't help the small proud smile that forms when I just think I've started to get this.

And then I don't have it anymore.

As Riley glides by me, I lose my footing and start to fall. The brunette sees me trying to stay up, and she quickly grabs my hands, but it's too late.

I fall on my ass, pulling her with me. We land on the ice in a fit of giggles, with her laying on top of me, our faces just inches apart. As our laughter starts to subside, my eyes flick from her dark brown ones to her lips, and back to her eyes.

She seems to notice the movement of my eyes because she closes the gap between us, pressing her lips to mine in a soft and loving kiss. I smile as she pulls away, seemingly forgetting the other people having to go around us.

"I guess you could say I really fell for you, huh?" Riley says with a chuckle and kisses my cheek.

"You really did." I say softly and meet her eyes again. "Happy one year anniversary, baby."

"Happy one year anniversary, Peaches."
