A stroll on the tracks with a train who's energy unchallenged. A toe wading into the pool of inattentive traffic. Where a holy dove tries to take flight from a building but it's lost its wings.
I'd catch that dove and place it on the edge, as I fall to meet Destiny, not you. I'd catch that toe before it dipped in the cooled by night blacktop; as I catch Fate before she drives away, not you. And I'd jump along on the promenade, being the victim of having to meet the steely stoic face of the engine, not you.
I'd save you all. With a smile.
