The Bet

The next morning, Jax and I woke with a start because we heard banging outside our door. When I heard the banging I thought I was back in my old room.

"Hey it's okay we aren't there. We are safe." Jax was rubbing my back. Wait how did he know that I didn't remember where we were.

"Cause I can read your mind." He answered again and he started to smile. Crap I forgot about that! Jax must of heard me and started laughing. I gave him a death glare and headed to the bathroom. There was everything I needed to take a shower already in there along with new toothbrushes and a brand new tube toothpaste. I jumped into the shower and when I was done, I brushed my teeth and realized I didn't have any clothes in here. Oh well Jax has seen my change before, but why is this different.

I walked out of the bathroom with a towel around me and I felt Jax stare at me. Before I could even more he was in front of me and his eyes were gold.

"Jax we don't have time for this, we need to see about everyone else and see to that everyone is settling in." I told him walking around him. He took a deep breath and I heard the bathroom door close. Thank the goddess he didn't try anything because I knew if he did I wouldn't be able to stop him and we wouldn't leave this room for the rest of the day. I went into the closet and saw that there was already a bunch of clothes in there.

I picked a plain black shirt and dark blue jeans. After I put on my clothes, I brushed my hair and braided it. I finished right as Jax came out of the bathroom with just a towel on. I stared at him which made him smirk and winked at me. He went to the closet and a couple minutes later came out with a plain red shirt on and jeans. We put our shoes on and walked out the door. We could smell bacon being cooked even though we were on the top floor of the pack house.

Finally we got to the kitchen and saw a lot of our group were helping out the pack and just being happy. I smiled at this and Jax put his arm around me. Jax grabbed both of us a plate and we started filling it up with food. I sat in front of my brothers and Jax sat next to me.

"So are you guys going to join us for some training?" Jay asked.

"Oh hell yea!" I shouted making everyone laugh.

We all finished breakfast and followed my brothers outside to the training area. It was just a big field in the back of the pack house. There were already people out here stretching and I saw that some of the people out here were from my group. They were the people that participated in the fights too. So this is going to be interesting.

"Alright everyone, since we have new people joining us today I would like to see how well they fight so we can put them in our ranks." My father said and everyone nodded.

I helped my father get my group into the ranks and once everyone was in the ranks, I realized that Jax and I didn't get put into a rank.

"Okay now that that's done. There are two that haven't gotten a rank yet." My father turned to me and smiled. "Now I know that Alex is an alpha but I heard that there was a bet placed. So Alex, Jax you two will be settling that bet right now. Now I know you two are mates but I want to see what you two are made of." I looked at Jax and smiled. I moved to the fighting area, which was just a big dirt area. Jax moved to the opposite side of me.

"Don't hold back." I told him and winked at him. He smiled and winked back.

"Alright ready?" We both nodded. "Start."

Most people would start circling each other, waiting for the other person to strike first but since Jax and I knew how we found, we just ran at each other. We were equally matched so we were trading hit for hit, kick for kick. It was like a dance, I moved one way, he would follow. Or he would move one way and I would follow. It must of been really cool to watch but I wanted to win. I started moving faster and faster. Jax knew that he couldn't beat me but he was trying.

At one point he was able to knock me to the ground but before he knew it I was on top of him. I smiled and went into punch him but stopped a centimeter in front of his face, making him flinch.

"Do you submit?" I asked smiling.

"Only for you, baby." He smiled and winked at me. I laughed and started to get up and helped Jax up. I looked at everyone only to see there shocked faces.

"You guys okay?" I asked and Jax laughed.

"How the hell can you guys fight like that?" Jett asked still in shock.

"Oh we were the reigning champs of the Rogue Fighting rings." I said.

"Well I think that's enough training for today we still have the celebration tonight that we should all get ready for. So you are all dismissed." My father still shocked said and everyone started to go into the pack house.

"Come on let's get ready." Jax took my hand and we started toward the pack house.
