Warnings: gun, Tony dying, Peter being #sad

:)

"Dad! I'm home!" Peter called through the empty home. There was no reply. The only sound was his voice echoing. It was already late, and since it was winter it was pretty dark.

"Dad?" He called out once more. He set his keys down on the table near the front door. He walked into the kitchen, seeing nothing unusual. Then to the dining room they never used. They always are in the kitchen. Then to the random office they have. Nothing weird or different, but Peter was getting a weird vibe.

"Hey, Dad!" His spidey senses tingled a bit as he entered the living room. He didn't seem to notice Tony laying wearing on the couch with a older man hovering over him. Tonys arc was out of his chest and the man had a gun.

"Oh my god! Dad? What is this?" Peter ran over to Tony, but immediately stopped halfway when the man pointed the gun at him.

"Step one for foot and I'll shoot." He smirked, knowing Peters weakness.

"What's going on? Where his arc reactor?" Peter stammered.

"I dunno," the man scoffed, "doesn't matter though."

"Yes it does! He will die without it!" He cried.

"Alright." The man replied, showing no care. Peter knew what to do, but he knew he shouldn't. There was an extra arc reactor in the coffee table for some reason (that's what I call lazy writing) Peter knew he would get shot no matter how hard he tried and how much he thought it through. He had to try though. He waited for a time where the man wasn't looking directly at him. If he glanced at Tony for one second, Peter would be able to grab it and run over and shove it into his chest. Then, simply take out the bad guy.

Once the man wasn't looking, he bent down and lifted the top of the coffee table. There was an arc reactor sitting. He grabbed it, looked up at the man once more, then ran.

Bang

Before Peter was able to put the reactor in Tony, Tony was shot. He thought he was shot at first, and quickly felt his neck, side and head for bullet holes. There were none. He looked up and saw Tonys head low to his chest, blood pooling out of his head.

"What have you done!" Peter cried, immediately sobbing.

"What i should have done years ago." He laughed, then left he building.

"Dad! Please! No! You can't be dead! Please tell me this isn't real! Dad!" Peter late his head into his lap, tears flowing out his eyes. His face hurt from how much he was crying and his eyes burned.

Suddenly, and warm and gentle hand was placed on his back. Peter looked up weakly to see his dad alive. Alive, not dead.

"You're alive!" He said with a broken voice. Tony just smiled, almost evilly.

"I love you, Peter." Tony said in strange voice. Peter ignored it and instead cried more until he couldn't breathe, literally. He tried to breathe in more oxygen but instead he let out a wheeze. It felt as if someone took his lungs and squeezed them like stress balls. He panicked, hoping it wasn't real. Tony still had his hand on his back, but now he was shaking Peter instead of just resting his hand.

Then everything stopped. It was almost like he paused a YouTube video in real life. Everything was frozen. The snow falling outside stopped. Tony stopped moving. Everything stopped except Peter. His chest burned and his face felt hot. After a few tortuous seconds, everything went black.

-

Peters eyes flew open. His face was covered in sweat. His vision was still black, but he felt a firm grip on his back.

"Peter, it's just me. It's alright." The calming, smooth, warm voice immediately calmed him down.

It was just a dream.

"Dad?" Peter picked up face up from the clinch cushion and turned around to see Tony. His face was covered in concern and worry.

"Hey, it's alright." Tony repeated once more as Peter flew into his arms. He let out a few sobs as Tony gently rubbed his back.

"I thought you died! You were gone!" Peter let out between cries.

"Hey, shh." Tony whispered in his ear.

"I'm not going anywhere."
