Armitage Hux

I wanted to hate the boy. He irritated me immensely. After school yesterday, he had returned to our dorm, and blasted his music so loud, that I woke with a migraine this morning. How could he listen to such garbage? Nobody wants to hear anyone scream about death and suicide. Most of the songs, I couldn't understand, through all the screaming, but all of them had things in common: they were extremely irritating, they gave me a headache, and they made me wonder. About him. I don't know what it is about him, but he intrigues me so much. He has books filled to every page with drawings, and though we'd roomed together for almost a week, I'd only seen just a few.
And those few...
They were filled with... Anger... Pain... And something's else...longing. The first picture of his I ever saw was the one he was drawing when we'd first met. It was of a little boy holding onto a bloodstained knife and crying uncontrollably. There had been blood covering the boy's arms, but from the way it was drawn, (brilliantly, if I must say so) you couldn't tell if the blood was his or someone else's.

This Ren...I have no words to describe him. Part of me wants to run when I'm around him, part of me wants to hate him for being so different, and part of me...if drawn to him...

"Yo, you alive?"  His voice snapped me back to reality.  My camera fell from my hands and tumbled towards the edge of the bed. I leaned forward quickly and reached for it. It glanced off my fingertips and fell towards the floor. I was certain that it would hit the floor and smash into bits, but then...he caught it. Him. Always him.

"Yes, Ren. I'm alive." I snatched the camera from his hands. "Don't touch my things." I growled, reaching into my side table drawer and withdrawing a wet wipe. By now, my roommate had already discovered my extreme germophobia, and had accepted it without comment. I finished cleaning my camera and proceeded to apply hand sanitizer. Kylo Ren watched expectantly. I rolled my eyes. "Can I help you?" I said menacingly.

Ren shrugged. "I was going down to the Osaka Japan. I was wondering if you wanted to come along." His voice was deep and quiet as usual, and for some reason, it gave me chills.

"I'm not hungry." I lied. My stomach corrected me with a loud growl.  A small smirk appeared on the tall, dark, boy's face.

"I'm paying."  he said, an edge of humour in his voice. He shifted his weight onto his left side and winced a little. I glared into his eyes. His expression was curious. It was closed off as normal,  but there was something in it...hope? I sighed and slipped my feet into my shoes.

"Fine. You're paying." I agreed, standing and taking my coat of of the rack, being careful not to touch it. Ren let a small smile slip onto his face momentarily and in that moment, he had the most perfect features. High cheekbones, perfect for any lighting without needing makeup. Almond- shaped eyes, just the right size.  A slightly overlarge nose that made his beauty a little more realistic. And those pale, full lips... But, of course these thoughts were purely professional. Yes, he'd make the perfect photo. I pushed past him, and shook my head to clear it.

The air outside the dorm was slightly chilled. It wasn't a horribly uncomfortable day to be outside, and so I started to walk towards the  restaurant. I was stopped by Ren clearing his throat.

"Erhm... Hux?" He called. I stopped and turned to face him, a look of expectancy on my face. "I can drive us..." he said, gesturing to an ancient silver car. I sighed and started to walk back to him. As I neared, I realized that the car was a limited edition model of the most popular (and expensive) auto company in the world.

"Is that a Millennium?" I asked. Ren nodded. "And... it's the Falcon model, isn't it?" He nodded again, looking slightly uncomfortable. "How on  Earth did you afford it?!" I asked incredulously. He looked down and kicked a piece of gravel. He muttered something sounding like. "Wuzmudahds." Before wrenching open the door and sliding into the front seat. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a white handkerchief, using it to open the door and buckle my seat belt. I gulped and looked around, trying not to touch anything.

The short drive to Osaka Japan was quiet. When we got to the restaurant, I ordered Crunchy Tempura Salmon sushi and Salmon Onigiri with chow mein while Ren preferred Fried Rice and Chicken Shish Kebabs. We sat next to each other along the bar table. I began eating quietly and soon realized the Ren had a habit of chewing with his mouth open. I closed my eyes and tried to ignore it, but soon reached my threshold. I stabbed my chopsticks into Ren's face. "Close. Your. Mouth." I growled.  Ren looked at me curiously and the momentary smile appeared again.

"Sorry." He said, continuing to eat, quieter this time. I sighed and cracked open my fortune cookie. I blinked and reread the fortune.
