~~~AUTHOR'S NOTE~~~
Hey guys, so this chapter is kinda based off of this cute little Kylux comic (see below) but it is different so don't worry!! Comic Credit goes to Kromi!!
Also P.S. Halfway through writing This I realized it was going to be a very long chapter. So... prepare yourselves for a large amount of fluff
I was art blocked again. No matter how I tried, I couldn't think of anything good to draw. Today's assignment was to draw a wish. A wish, of all things. I had plenty of those, alright. I wish that the nightmares would stop. I wish that I hadn't killed my father. I wish that Resistance University had accepted me, so I could be closer to mom. I wish I had a boyfriend. I wish Hux would kiss m-.I shook my head. I really needed to stop thinking like that about my roommate. But, of course I couldn't draw that! I bit my lip and stuck my pencil into my mouth, pinching it between my teeth. I strained my mind to think of something to draw, but the only thing that came to my head was him.
I growled at myself. "Fine, self. You wanna draw Hux, draw Hux." I told myself, trying to think of some way to draw him. "Draw a wish..." I thought. "Draw...a... wish......." I stood suddenly and went straight to the paper cabinet, pulling out a medium- sized piece of black paper. I rushed back to my seat and pulled out my extensive collection of coloured pencils. Settling on a memory, I began to draw the image in my head.
"Ren?" Hux called out waking me from my sleep.
"Hmnngh?" I asked from the floor. It was close to the end of spring break, just a few days after Hux found out about my cutting habits. I turned into my back and looked at him, upsidedown."Get off the floor, do you know how much bacteria and dead skin you could be rolling around in?" Hux snapped. He was holding two large boxes, a medium sized box, and two small boxes in his arms.
I sat up and stuck my tongue out at him. His lips twitched into an almost smile and he set the boxes down on his bed. "You're so disrespectful to the man who just bought you a new computer and phone." He said slyly, tossing me one of the small boxes.
I caught it and looked at the label. My jaw dropped. "This is a Galaxy S10." I said dumbfounded."Oh, quite sharp." Hux said sarcastically, gently setting the other box on my bed before reclining in his bed.
I glanced at it and saw the logo. I about pissed myself. "ALIENWARE?!" I screamed, causing Hux to jump slightly.
He glared at me. "You always used to complain that your HP loaded Wolf-mission too slowly." He said.
I shook my head. "Hux, 1. Its Wolfquest. 2. Your rich snob is showing. You just spent four thousand dollars on me."Hux rolled his eyes. "I was in a spending mood." He said. "Just take it and quit complaining." He picked up a book and began to read.
I smiled. "Thanks, General Ginger." I said, giving up on the money argument I'd had so often with him. The first time, he bought me a huge set of expensive colored pencils. I'd told him that I'd never use them if he didn't return them. Then, he got me a pair of $180 wireless waterproof headphone that I could wear in the shower. He said that it was really more like him buying something for himself because now he didn't have to listen to my 'whiny' music anymore.
Hux suddenly ducked his head behind his book and made a muffled squeaking noise. I looked up and eyed him quizzically. "You good?" I asked.
He nodded and hid more, his shoulders shaking. He was laughing.
I grinned and sat forward on my hands. "What's so funny?" I asked.
"General Ginger... honestly." Hux replied, looking up from his book. His face had lit up, creases forming at the corner of his eyes. He had taken to not shaving during breaks and weekends and at this point he had a small beard grown out. His blue- green eyes shone in the most beautiful way. It was the first time I had ever seen him smile. The only thing that irritated me about this moment was how much more it made me love him.
The bell rang and I looked around. Everyone had started to leave the room. Class was over for the day, but the drawing still needed work. I hadn't quite captured the sparkle in his eyes. I played around with blues and greens until I finally got the shade correct. I signed the very edge and cleaned my stuff up before going to turn my art in to the TA.
She looked at it and smiled softly. "That's Hux, isn't it?" she asked as I started to turn around to leave.
"Uh.. yeah." I replied turning back around. "You know him?"
She nodded and brushed a strand of her short blonde hair out of her face. "Yeah. I'm Gwen. He's my best friend. You do know that the assignment wasn't a free draw right? You're supposed to draw a wish, not your roommate."
I felt a blush creep across my face. "Uh... about that...." I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly. "Yeah. I knew that. He kinda... is my wish..."
Gwen grinned. "You didn't hear this from me, but he likes guys." She said leaning forward on her elbows. "And you should go for it."
I gulped and felt my face grow hotter. "Y- you mean like... ask him out on a date?" I rocked on the balls of my feet.
Gwen shook her head. "No. Hux likes outgoing guys. Just go up to him, and smooch that man right on the face."
I hid my face in my hands. "Are you sure?" I had to admit... just taking him in my arms and feeling his lips on mine.
Gwen nodded. "Do it." She said. "Do it, do it, do it!"
I raised my hands in defeat. "Alright, I will!" I promised before leaving, with Gwen laughing behind me.
I told myself that the very next time I saw Hux, I would kiss him right then and there.
My resolve faltered when I turned a corner and saw Hux talking with someone. I gathered up my courage and walked forward, turning Hux around by the shoulder.
"Ren what ar-" he was interrupted by my lips. The hallway suddenly became very quiet. Hux froze in my grasp. He didn't kiss back and so I pulled away quickly.His eyes were opened wide and he very calmly touched his lips before screaming, "WHAT THE FUCK REN?!?!" It echoed down the hallway embarrassingly.
I flinched. I had never heard him swear like that. He always said that swear words were for weak minded people who didn't know how to use adjectives. I felt my face flush completely. "Well, um I-I thought..." I silently cursed Gwen in my head but didn't want to throw her under the bus. "Nothing, I fucking suppose. Sorry. Bye." I took the chance to turn around and beeline for the dorm.
As I fled I heard a very soft, "Fucking idiot..." exit from my roommate's mouth. I felt the burn of tears in my eyes.
As soon as I got into the dorm, I slammed the door and slid down on the wall next to it, hiding my face in my knees and finly allowing myself to break down and sob.
I have no idea what I was even thinking. When was just pulling my leg. Of course no one would ever want me. Especially not someone as great as Hux.I settled down a bit. Just when I thought my day couldn't get worse, the door opened.
Hey guys so I realized this chapter would get very long if I did the whole thing so I'm gonna split it in two. Thought you'd like to read this one while it was ready at least. Hope you enjoy!
