When I entered the warmth of my housing, I saw Kacey fast asleep. You shouldn't have drugged her. Yet what if she asked to much? I undressed from my scarlet outfit, hiding it at the bottom of my laundry, besides my mask, which I placed neatly in my travel pack in my drawer. I slipped into some silk pants and a matching black long sleeve, jumping in bed next to Kacey and passing out.
The next morning, Kacey was up before me. Probably from that extra sleep you gave her. She was dressed and ready, just laying on a chair in the living room, thinking. I hurried and got dressed, assuring she didn't see my shady everyday wear underneath my clothing. I chose a black set of clothing, going black jeans, black longsleeve, black choker, finished with my punk boots with steel reinforcements. After we left the apartment, Kacey was quiet the whole ride, still with the concentrated look. The day dragged on, Kacey not joining me and Jackson for lunch in the art room. She missed 4th and 5th period too. It wasn't until after we met up at our usual spot that I caught sight of her leaning casually on the side of my car. I unlocked the door without a word, inspecting her as I drove. She has been quiet the whole day and went missing for a while. Did she go somewhere? What had to be so urge t that she had to leave during school. Not only that, but not tell me. Unless she didn't want me to know. Then why wouldn't she want me to know, I thought we were good friends . . . I stared at the road ahead of me when I realized her backpack was slightly bigger, a noticable differance. Did she buy something? Maybe something happened during third period? I continued thinking of what may have happened until I was in the garage, ending the pur of the engine in my car.
"Kacey, where were you?" I said out loud on inpulse.
"What do you mean, I was in school the whole time." she said, giving me a puzzled look.
"Bullshit, you were missing since lunch." I called her out, all of this just suddenly boiling my blood from her lying to me.
- Click - I lock the doors of the car, keeping us inside. She glances at the lock and back at me, probably checking if she can open it manually.
"I bet you just didn't see me, I ate at a table because I had to talk with somebody." she lied.
Is she trying to piss me off. She knows I hate being lied to straight to my face.
"Don't. Fucking. Lie to me." I threating, lidding my eyes to glare at her hard, my tone dropping low.
She seemed to get into a defensive posture and stared right into my eyes. " I'm not okay, if you dont believe me thats your problem."
She managed to pop the lock up to my surprise and soon enough stormed out towards the direction of the elevator. I followed her silently, slinking soundlessly to her side as we rode upstairs to the second floor. We both got inside and did our nightly routine, eating leftovers and keeping hygiene. I sneakily readied my clothes and made the excuse to go to the library because I couldnt sleep and to not expect to till much later. I left and headed to my usual spot behind the large willow tree. Powdering on quickly some dark red shades of eye shadow and lipstick, smearing off the concealer on my scars, I change. Tying up my hair into the usual pigtails, I put my velvet hat on and my scarlet intricate felt mask. I headed to the usual bar and knocked on the back door.
"Ms. Scarlet! Good to see you arrive. Any word yet on Violet?" he said, looking down at me with his nicely shapen porcelain face.
I twist my head away, smacking him with my soon to be overgrown hair. "No I haven't Indigo, let me in."
He grabbed me by my waist and pull me right up to his face. "All right little lady." he said, looking down at me and smiling.
Flicking his cheek, I roll my eyes and enter the lounge. Guess the idiot doesn't know what bounderies are. I go to the coffee maker and start brewing some drip coffee, knowing I wont make it if I dont sleep often. I hear the back door open and a squeaky robotic voice talks to Indigo. I walk up to them to see what's up. I see a young girl, probably around my age, standing at the entrance. she wore a neon green mask much like the one Ariana Grande wore before in Dangerous Women with a matching neon green maid outfit. She had green eyes of a very beautiful clear color, her hair powdered to look silver. She wore a bowtie around her neck that was also green with some green knee high rain boots. her figure was slightly thick, but also a nice hourglass shape. She had more ass than anything, and that maid outfit sure showed it.
"I'm Emerald, I'm new here. Nice meeting yall." she said, shaking each of our hands.
"Well hello there, I'm Ultramarine Wolf, also known as Indigo. This here is Crimson Wolf, also known as Scarlet, and we are missing- my oh my . . . Ms. Violet! Her proper name being Ultraviolet Wolf." His voice sounds exageratedly pained as he steps back, allowing both girls to come inside, as Violet had just walked up behind Emerald.
"You know what this means, dear?" he says, pulling Violet by the wrist close to the stairs.
Upon inspection, Violet wasn't in her usual flashy outfit. She wore a different outfit, a purple tux three peice set with a new metallic black and purple mask. She wore her everyday wig and purple makeup.
"Of course I do Indigo! Our markings remind us of to who we belong! Let us finish Emerald's introduction." she said, smiling up at him.
Did she have no fear of what we would have to do?
"Well . . . ma' wolf name is Smaragdine Wolf. Also known as Emerald. Please continue, I got no damn clue what's goin' on." she says, her accent obviously faked along with her digital voice.
"Alright, well, Emerald, Violet here missed one of the annual meetings. The mark on your back is proof of this, meaning you are comitted and have to show up, otherwise, punished. Now we, together, have to gang up on her wether we like it or not, no exceptions." he sing songs.
"We do it downstairs in a room." I say, pointing to the stairs leading to the basement with my thumb.
Walking Violet to the room, we lock the door and turn the lights on. I put on my poker face as I crack my fingers, ready for the fight. The thing was, she wasn't allowed to. Indigo handcuffed Violet with the provided handcuffs in the room, putting the key on the hook. All at once, we went for Violent in the center of the concrete room. Emerald kicked the back of her leg, forcing the leg to bend as Indigo punched her in the gut, I push her down simply, her tall figure falling to its knees. She bends over to her side as we repeatedly kick her. I try to kick her in the least harming spots as she squeezes her eyes shut. She soon starts coughing up blood, painting the floors with splatters of red. The kicking soon comes to an end. - Thud - Indigo and Emerald pull her up each by one arm as I plant a well aimed punch at the center of her thin body. We finish the job with a final blow, propping her limp body up on a chair and removing the cuffs. We walk her back to the room and up to the bathroom. I walk inside with her, helping her clean her caramel skin.
"Sorry about that." I mutter quietly in my fake odd voice, feeling that I punched her gut too hard on the final blow.
This is too much for a mere missed meeting.
"The mighty Scarlet, apologizing to a mere checker?" she laughed with a high screech.
"Yea fucker, shut the fuck up before I do it again." I said, my stomache dropping with guilt after what I did to her.
"My fault anyway, I'm the one who didn't show up" She said, looking down at the pink stained sink, spitting some blood out.
"Why didn't you come anyway?" I questioned, curious what in hell stopped her from coming to such an important even though very boring and in my view pointless.
"Can't say, it's relatively stupid anyway." she laughed it off, heading back to work.
I drank my black bitter coffee, body warmed up, and did my usual routine. Violet left earlier than usual, though I admit she probably has to try to ice her wounds. Soon enough I left too, with my 10% of the job. Changing into my home outfit, I slip inside the apartment quietely where I find my bed empty. It was around three in the morning, why would Kacey be up? I trudge to the bathroom to leave my dirty clothes when I see it's locked and the lights are on. Maybe she needed to go, and then woke up because of it? I shrugged it off and simply folded the used clothing and such at the bottom of my drawers, placing everything back and undoing my hair and makeup. I flop onto the bed and clentch the soft sheets, sleep imediately taking over from the exhaustion of emtion and fatigue, forgetting about Kacey in the bathroom.
