We hop into the car. Kevin looks over at me. "Don't get too attached to anything." He chuckles. I laugh with him and look out the window as he drives. It was a semi-long drive but it was worth it. We arrived at the animal shelter and we both get out of the car. I walk inside first, Kevin right behind me. I almsot scream as I see a puppy in the lobby with a few little kids. We walk over to the front desk. "Good morning. How may I help you?" The lady at the desk looked up at me. "We're just here to look." Kevin said as he cut me off. "Alright. Any specific type of animal you would like to see..?" She asked as I looked over to my right. I saw the cutest little beagle puppy with this cute couple. "Dogs please. And do you guys have any horses..?" I asked as I got more curious. "We have both yes. The kennels are on your left and come back to see me for the horses later." She smiled. "Alright. Thank you ma'am." Kevin said as we both headed towards the kennels.
As soon as we opened the kennel doors, all we could hear was barking. Just barking over top of barking. I skip to the first kennel, it was a large golden lab. In the second one was a dark brown sharpei. But in the third kennel was the cutest little german shepherd I have ever seen in my entire life. I squeeled and looked over at Kevin, who was standing by the kennel doors. I run over to him and pull him towards the german shepherd. "She's so sweet!" I jump a bit. Kevin looks at me, then looks at the dog. "I'll be back, gotta go to the bathroom." He smiled at me as he walked away. I sat by the door of her kennel and kept petting her through the gate.
I heard footsteps coming up to me from behind. "I'm sorry ma'am, but she has been adopted." The desk lady told me as she held a pink leash in her hands. A frown appeared on my face as I moved over. The lady grabbed the german shepherd puppy and brought her out. I stood up to go find Kevin. I walk out to the lobby and I look up. What i saw was amazing. Kevin was holding the little puppy in his arms. I stared at him, confused of what he did. He walked up to me. "Lets go home." He smiled as he put the puppy down. A huge smile grows on my face as we walk out, the puppy slowly following behind us.

After a somewhat long drive, we arrived at Kevin's house. I held the puppy in my hands the entire drive, I swear this was meant to be my puppy. We walked into the house and I put the puppy down, She just sat at my feet as i attempted to take my shoes off. "What will you name her?'' Kevin asked as he sat on the white couch. "Hmmm... I don't know? Maybe a good name will come from her personality?" I questioned as I looked down at the sweet fluff ball. She just stared up at me, her ears perking as I talked. I took out a tug-of-war toy out of the petsmart bag and handed it to her. She gently took it but began shaking it violently as I let go of it. "She's so cute! Thank you so much!" I walk over to Kevin and hug him. The puppy brought the toy over to us and dropped it onto Kevin's foot. He chuckled and threw it. As the pup chased it she bashed into the wall. She sat up and shook her head and acted as if she didn't just hit the wall.
"I think she's suck a goof ball!" I smile. "Maybe her name should be Goof?" Kevin suggested. I looked at the pup and shook my head. "Violet." I whisper as the pup seemed to wag her tail as I said her new name. "That's a perfect name!" Kevin smiled as he picked the puppy up. "Hey Violet!" He said in a soft voice. I just stared as his cute smile. He was so handsome. "You like what you see?" Kevin said playfully as he put Violet down. I giggle nervously as I look away. "Your blushing!" He teased me as he put his hand on my cheek. "Are you gonna go home any time soon..? He seemed to get sad as he said those words. I shook my head. "There is no way I'm going home after what my father did to me..." I look away. "Hey! I wouldn't ever let him lay a finger on you! But I'm glade your gonna stay here with me.." He looked into my eyes.
