As Flame and I had gotten home. I sprinted straight to my room, unpacking the new onzies I had gotten. I took out the pikachu one and put it on. I put the other ones away and when I looked at the bottom of the shopping bag, there was a fluffy alpaca stuffie. I jump up and a bright smile plasters itself onto my face. I pick it up and hug it. I walk out of my room, looking for Flame. He is no where to be found. I walk around holding the stuffie up to my chin as I didnt like being alone. I slowly walked down the hallway. It felt as if I was a star in a horror movie. "F-Flame..?" I shouted, hoping he was nearby. I heard a cup smash in the kitchen. I screamed and jumped. I then was startled again as Flame grabbed me from behind. "What happened?!" He sounded worried. I pointed to the kitchen with my hand shaking, still holding the stuffie up to my chin.
He slowly walked out into the kitchen and I closely followed behind him. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a gun. He jumped out of the hallway, he looked around. He seemed confused. He put his gun away and turned back towards me. "What is it...?" I ask, sort of creeped out. "Nothings there but there is a broken cup on the floor." He went onto one knee. "You like your new things?" He smiled at me. I held my alpaca stuffie close to my face and blushed. "Yes! Thank you da-Flame." I almost slipped out a word I havent said in a few months. He slightly tilted his head towards me. "What were you going to say?" His brown eyes felt like the pierced right through my soul. "Nothing, I messed up my words." I hugged the stuffie tighter. "Alright dork, go to your room, I'll go see you in a bit." He stood back up. I nodded and skipped back to my room. I jump onto my bed and sit down. I put my stuffie in my lap and examin it carefully. As I do with all my stuffies. As I finished examining my stuffies, I heard Flame call my name. I hopped off my bed, poking my head around the corner. Flame stood at the end of the hall, but then the eerie air hit me in the face, and I knew something wasn't right. "Yes Flame?" I slowly walked out, he did nothing but stare at me. But just then. His body began shaking. "Call someone!" He managed to yell before he collapsed. I screamed as I ran over to him, grabbing his phone out of his pocket. I then quickly dialed Kevin's number, and waited for him to pick up. Flame's body still contorted in unusual angles. But I was snapped out of my thoughts as I heard Kevin's voice. "Hello?" He picked up. "Kevin! Help! Somethings wrong with Flame!" I said in a complete panic. "Joarden? What's going on?" He began getting worked up. "He's on the floor. I think he's having a seizure!" I cried out. "Call 911. I am on my way." He told me, but then quickly hung up. I then dialed 911. "911 what's your emergency?" The operator said. "My friends having a seizure!" I cried, tears stained my cheeks as I watched Flame shake, and now foaming from the mouth. "What's your address?" The woman asked. As I told her the address. Flame's eyes opened, they were now a deep red colour. "An ambulance is on the way." She said. Flame got up. I know right then and there that he wasn't himself. I dropped the phone and ran to my room. Locking it behind me.
I sat against my door. But I was pushed back as Flame busted the door down. "Flame! Where is Joarden?!" I heard Kevin's voice. "Help me!" I screamed as Flame got on top of me, grabbing my throat. His grip slowly tightened, the room began turning black around the corners of my eyes. But just then, Flame was ripped off of me. I began having a coughing fit. But then saw Kevin and Flame fighting. They tumbled around the room. Almost hitting me. I yelled and backed up against the wall, my hands on my throat. After a bit of fighting. Kevin had hit him one last time and with a big thud. Flame had fallen to the ground. I covered my eyes, not knowing who had fallen at the moment. I jumped as a pair of hands grabbed me and guided me up. I slowly uncovered my eyes as I blinked. But a big smile came across my face as I seen a face I hadn't seen in a while.
I threw myself at Kevin as he smiled towards me. "I missed you, kitten." He mumbled through my thick hair. "I missed you too dad-"I stopped myself. "No, I want to hear it." He mumbled through my hair. "I missed you too daddy." I whispered as I hugged him tighter. "Let's go home." He put me down, and grabbed me by the hand. And with that, we walked out to his car. When we arrived to his car. I saw a figure in the front seat of his car, I couldn't tell who it was due to his windows being blacked out. But the window slowly began to roll down. "Hey squirt!" I heard Reece's voice. But soon after the voice. I saw Reece sitting in the car. "Hey Reece, how have you been?" I shyly smile. "I've been good, who got you the onesie?" He looked me up and down. "Flame did..." I mumbled. I had grown attached to Flame. But when he turned on me. It felt like I didn't know him at all.
