"Please you two, take your seats immediately," Harry lightly tugged away from me, turning around to the sound of one of the attendants of the train, "the train is going to be coming to a quick stop soon."
The loss of his green eyes brought a sense of panic in my stomach. I didn't want to be without him for even a split second.
Harry's finger tips pressed firmly into the small of my back, warmth spread through my body and shivers ran up my spine. His brown locks were messily perfect, flowing effortlessly down to the start of his neck. The waves reminded me of the ocean.
I couldn't help but notice Harry's attire. He wore his normal pair of black sweat pants, old beaten down white nike shoes, and a Disney patch sweatshirt straight from the 80s. He didn't have a bag or a coat and he looked dreadfully drained. I spotted slight discoloration beneath his puffy green eyes.
When he didn't look back as quickly as I wanted I pulled his shoulder to lead him back to the booth I had originally sat in by myself.
My mind raced with different pieces of the puzzle that weren't lining up together. How could he find me in this place? He had no way to contact me.
Harry flipped around after apologizing to the attendant, his dark eyes lit up the second they met mine, "Lennon, I was so worried," he uttered out, following me back into the same side of the booth. He scooted in next to me. As he spoke I couldn't help but stare into his eyes. They were enthralling. And for some reason they looked like they had seen a lifetime since the last time we talked.
I swallowed the lump in my throat while he continued, "I know we left..." his shoulders sagged and the green eyes that were momentarily staring into mine dropped, "us off at a bad place. But it was entirely my fault, I want to apolo-"
My hands gripped his cheeks, the softness of my palms rubbed harshly against his stubble. A spark of curiosity glistened in his eyes, "No, I want to apologize. I didn't listen to you. You cared about my well being and I was jealous and over dramatic," I sighed out to him all while tracing a small circle just above his sharp jaw line. I focused on my hand slowly moving.
His jaw clenched, "Hey," his lips slightly parted as a whisper emerged from his mouth. I peered up into his eyes and felt my heart fluttered at his light and kind tone.
I hummed back to him and tilted my head to the side.
"You weren't over dramatic, love," his deep accent was very prevalent, "I was just a dick."
I stared at him waiting for him to say something else. It was hard to explain but in some strange way Harry felt like home to me, when I was around him nothing mattered but him. I was so content sitting here, having his face in my hands, but I felt bad.
Deep down I still thought about Dylan and Sierra. Both of them were still in the picture.
"Love," Harry lifted his hand and rested it on mine that still held onto his cheek. It wasn't until then I zoned out and started to think about what was going on back home, "Dylan helped find you, but he had me come up here to get you. He thought that was best."
My mind began to catch up with everything he was saying.
I slightly pulled back, "You know Dylan?" My hand fell and so did his.
Harry let out a deep sigh and shifted around in the booth so he was sitting with one knee up on the seat. His entire body turned to face me, giving his full and undivided attention.
"I waited around for him after the receptionist told me you had left, he came over in a panic and we talked about it all over a cup of tea," Harry slowly admitted, his eyes searched my face for any trace of emotion.
I frowned and put my head down, "I have been on the phone with him the past few..." my mind trailed back to when he was asking about the motel I was staying in, or when he doubled checked the train I was taking home. It wasn't because he was nosy, it was because he wanted to make sure he was giving the right information to Harry in order to find me. My neck snapped up, "You came here? With Dyl's help and... he didn't tell me."
Harry nodded, "You ran off so quick I thought you'd never want to see me again. I was expecting you to be pissed I followed you," he twisted his lips and dropped his head as well, mimicking my previous action.
"I was scared you'd cut off all ties with everyone, including Dylan, if you found out I was coming. I thought maybe if I got on this train with you that maybe over the next few days I could convince you why you need to still be friends with Dylan and still hang around me because I don't want you to leave, I quite like you around actually. You're one of the first people in the area I've met who isn't a huge drag, you're nice and-" I placed the palm of my hand on Harry's chest, laughing at him and bringing his rambling to a halt.
My laughing started to subside, his face morphed into a confused expression while mine wore a gleeful smile.
I couldn't help but replace my hand onto the sides of his face once more, scooting closer to the heat of his body. Sparkles within his deep green eyes trailed around his pupils like a planned and practiced dance, my heart started to beat quicker and harder.
His light pink lips parted slightly and his eyes were no longer focused on mine, but instead my own lips.
All of this time I had been convincing myself that all Harry was, was a friend, a boss, a neighbor.
And for the longest time I believed it. He was Harry Styles and I was a college drop out.
But it took until this moment in time, when the two of us where on a random train in the middle of Canada to realize how much he really cared for me. He came looking for me because he was troubled about my well being. It wasn't a silly game he was playing with his 'help,' and I couldn't see that until now. Practically centimeters away from his face.
"Len-" he began to mutter but I didn't let him finish. I gripped onto his cheeks and pulled his lips onto my own, hardly a millisecond later he sat up and took control of it. Harry wrapped one arm around my back and pulled me closer.
I shrunk down and relaxed into the motions, we both breathed in between each kiss. My heart stopped beating all together the second our mouths combined.
There were no thoughts running in my mind, just the pure happiness and release it felt to finally kiss Harry.
The two of us were both trying to impress one another, it was obvious.
Just when I was starting to get into the rhythm, he bit my bottom lip. That resulted in me gasping and arching my back into him. I knew he was pleased because I felt a triumphant smile grow.
"Excuse me!" I slipped my tongue into his mouth and he gladly accepted it, "Excuse me!"
A tap on my shoulder caused me to whip around, only to be greeted by the same attendant that had earlier told Harry and I to sit down. Her eyes were wiled, "I will not have any of that on my train car! Get off of him this instant!" She whisper yelled at me, looking madly around at the few other people on this train car who clearly were either asleep or didn't care.
I turned back around and looked beneath me. Somehow I had got partially onto Harry's lap and was nearly straddling him. Harry managed to let out a single chuckle while helping me down and onto my own part of the booth seat.
"If I see this going on-"
"I kindly assure you we will behave ourselves, miss. Don't need to worry about us," Harry wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me into his chest. The attendant lifted one eyebrow.
She flared her nostrils and rolled her eyes before stomping away in a fuss.
I let out the unknown tension in my shoulders and slumped into Harry, the two of us stared across the train car. I reached down and put my hand on his knee shortly after she left.
My neck tilted back so I could see his beautiful eyes once more, his lips looked rosy and a large smirk was plastered against his face. I liked knowing that I was the one who made him smile, "That's what I was coming home to do," I confessed.
Harry's smile only grew, he leaned down and gave me a firm but quick peck on the lips, "That's what I was coming here to do," he laughed.
