A few centuries ago, a big war went down between the werewolf kind and the human kind. The werewolves decided that they shouldn't be living in the shadows and they deserve to rule the world as they strongly believed the human kind are not their equals and they were destined to be their slaves and nothing more than that.
However the war was not between werewolves and humans like many believed and years later, not for the reason they assumed. Not all werewolves were arrogant, that they believed they were the true leaders of this world, they were seeking peace among all and in order to get that, they paired with the humans and try to bring the balance back how it was supposed to be.
During the war, many lives were lost on both sides. No one was winning, everybody was loosing. But clearly one group had an advantage over the other, the werewolves who wanted peace truly fought to prove it. When the war was near the end the leader of the human kind decide to proposed the idea of singing a treaty with the werewolf king and restore balance once and for all. Showing them his gratitude for helping him fight and protect his kind. They could all leave in peace with each other, no more hiding in the shadows, no more fear of their lives and the war ended soon after that.
Both hunters and werewolves lived in peace since then. And the world bloomed to what is known today. The werewolves lived among humans, but they knew they couldn't hurt them or else they will breach the treaty they sign. The hunters hold the role they had many years ago, to protect humans from arrogant supernatural creatures who thought they are better than the rest and try to harm innocent humans.
