Your POV
We got out of the shower and dried off, slipping our clothes back on. I went into my room, while Jack went to his temporary room, to get clean clothes. When I got into my room, I looked out the window to see it was raining.
I smiled as I grabbed my clean clothes, hurriedly putting them on. I went over to Jack's room and barged threw the door, running over to Jack, forcing his shirt over his head and pulling him towards the door.
He started laughing at my actions, then stopped me from pulling him. "Woah, woah, woah, where are we running off to?"
"Outside!" I said, sounding like a child.
"It's raining!" Jack yelled, laughing.
"I know! It's my favorite weather!" (That's a true story, for me. *the more you knowwww*)
He chuckled and adjusted his shirt, "Then you're going to like it in Ireland, that is, if you come with me."
I nodded, not wanting to worry about that for now; I have a day and a half to think about it. That's enough time. Right?
I dragged Jack out of his room and into the hall, then made him stay there. I grabbed a jacket and went back into the hall, then Jack noticed what I had grabbed and went to get his own. When he came back, I held out my hand for him, he took it, and we went on our way, which was to the front door.
I grabbed my and Marks rain boots from the shoe rack near the front door, hoping Jack and Mark wore the same size shoe. I sat Marks shoes in front of Jack and we slipped on our shoes, Jack's foot fitting perfectly in the shoe. We put on our hoods and walked outside, the porch roof covering us for now.
"You sure you want to go out there?" Jack asked, grabbing my arm before I could step out into the rain.
I looked back at him and nodded. "Yes, I'm sure. I rarely get to see this type of weather, that's why I enjoy it so much. I'd actually like to see it more often."
I got loose of his grip and went flying off the steps, finding the nearest puddle and jumping into it. I heard Jack chuckle and then his footsteps up the me, then felt the water from the puddle splash up onto me. I giggled as I kicked water at Jack, making him scoff and kick water back at me.
We laughed and kicked for a bit until the puddle had almost disappeared from all the splashing. I smiled as I looked down at my clothes, seeing some droplets of water running down my jacket. I looked back up to see Jack messing with his hair, accidentally getting it wet with his hands. I giggled softly and walked over to him, shoving his hair into his hood gently for him.
He smiled and kissed the tip of my nose, then pulled back and spit to the side, a disgusted look on his face. My eyebrows knitted together in confusion as to why he made such a face.
"I got mud in my mouth!" He yelled, making me laugh. He started laughing after a little while, shaking his head slowly.
He reached out his hand and grabbed mine, then we started walking down the wet sidewalk. I looked up at the beautiful rolling gray clouds with a smile, enjoying the cool air that was whipping by. By now, the rain had mostly stopped, only a few small rain droplets falling out of the sky.
I got out my phone and earbuds, handing one to Jack, listening to calming music. Jack and I started humming one song that I didn't know he knew, so I looked over at him, surprised. "You know this song?" I asked.
"Know this song?" He scoffs and chuckles, "I love this song!"
He takes my other hand and we start dancing, the rain picking up its pace. We danced like the rain wasn't even there, the sound of the rain hitting the ground only going along with the song. (In other words, you danced to the sound of the rain and music... *shrugs*)
We parted after the song ended, but couldn't go that far because of the cord connecting us. I bowed slightly, making us laugh. He took my hand in his as the next song started, then we began walking again.
We ended up walking to the park, the one where the four girls were that said we'd make a good couple. We swung on the wet swings, almost slipping off every now and then. I giggled as I jumped off the swing, landing on my feet successfully.
Next thing I know, Jack went whipping past me, sliding on his feet in the wet, muddy grass. He slipped and fell on his back, making a loud thump on the ground. I ran over to him, skidding to a stop on my knees beside him. He groaned with his eyes closed, his hand reaching up for his head.
"Jack! Are you okay, babe?" I grabbed his free hand, squeezing it lightly.
He nodded slowly, a small sigh coming from him as he let his hand fall back down to his side. "I'm fine, just got the breath knocked out of me." He took a deep breath and sat up, propping himself up on his elbows. "Help me up?"
I nodded and stood up, holding my hands out for him. He took them and I pulled him up, then he stood up straight, a slight look of surprise on his face. He hugged me and rested his head on my shoulder, the mud from his hood getting on my sleeve, but I didn't mind. I hugged him back, my arms going around his torso, getting my sleeves even muddier.
I heard a sigh then Jack pulled back, looking at me with a smile, "You know, I just smeared mud on you without realizing it until just then."
I smiled and giggled, shrugging, "I don't mind. It was a hug from you, I'm never going to pass that up." I poked his chest, making him laugh softly.
He kissed my forehead and took my hand, leading me away from the swings, "Come on, let's go back to your house so we can get cleaned up. We might take another... 'shower' together."
I laughed sarcastically, "Yeah, we'll see about that."
