Kawaii~Chan/Nana's POV
I stretch my arms, legs and tail as I try to fully wake up from my long sleep. I yawn as the morning dew comes through my window, making me even tired.
I throw my warm covers to the side as the coldness of my room finally gets to me, making me want to go back to the comfort of my blanket. I step onto the hard wood floors, my feet feeling as though it's on ice.
I instantly find my house slippers and put them on, the fluffiness feeling like heaven on my feet. I make my way to the bathroom, thankful I wake up before all of my siblings. I look into the mirror to find my pink hair messy and my ears and tail.
I brush my teeth and wash my face, the cold water waking me up. I start to brush the tangled out of my hair, my hair becoming more and more decent. Finally, my hair looks like how it always does everyday and I put in my bows. One red bow on the front of my left ear, one big pink bow on the back of my head, and one big pink bow on my tail.
I look into the mirror and see Kawaii~Chan.
Not Nana.
I exit the bathroom and head back towards my room. I then dress into the school uniform, once again reminding me of the school uniforms in the animes I watch. After I'm done with my knee high socks, I pack all my school supplies and schoolwork into my bag.
I look at the time and see it's about time for me to head out. I slug my bag over my shoulder and walk downstairs.
I reach my front door and begin to put on my dark brown shoes. I open the door and as I'm about to walk out, I feel a tug on my tail. I turn around to meet another pair of golden eyes.
"Hey, Rennie, aren't you suppose to be asleep?" I ask the young meif'wa, who looks like a tiny version of me but with fluffy pastel green hair and her black and grey sweater she borrowed from me.
"Nee~Chan! You forgot to say goodbye!" Rennie whined, her pouty face melting my heart.
"Aw, I'm so sorry, Rennie!" I say to her, picking her up and hugging her. I kiss her cheek and put her down.
"Goodbye Nee~Chan! Have a good day!" Rennie exclaims waving her arm, but her sleeves being too long that they hide her tiny hands.
"Bye Rennie! Go back to sleep and I'll see you after school!" I wave goodbye to her as I walk out. She closes the door and locks it, leaving me in the cold.
I shiver as I begin my trek to my high school, which is a few miles away.
I finally arrive at the huge building and see a familiar car up front. As expected, I see the two Ro'meave brothers step out and make their way to their usual spots.
And as always, I catch up with Zane.
"Morning, Zane~Kun!" I greet him, Kawaii~Chan's high voice becoming prominent.
He sighs. "Good morning, I guess." He replies in his now-deep voice.
"So how'd Zane~Senp- Kun! Sleep?" Kawaii~Chan asks him, almost slipping up.
"Please stop with the whole Japanese honorifics things, I thought we went over this yesterday?" Zane groans and tries to walk ahead. I catch up to him.
"Sorry! I'll stop now. So, tell me, how are you doing?" I ask him, stopping the high voice that hurt my throat.
"A little better now that you aren't acting so fake. Why do you talk like that?" He says, looking at me. I look down at my feet, avoiding eye contact.
"Well, it's because... too much anime?" I answered. I giggle at the end, but his question really made an impact.
I would want to stop it, but I don't want my friends to get bored with me or end up leaving me. This is for the sake of my future relations with them. I don't want to lose them.
"Well, please don't do that around me. By the way, did you dye your hair to make it more anime-like?" He questions me, grabbing a few little strands by his thumb and pointer finger.
"It's my natural hair color. Meif'wa have unique hair colors because they're magical beings, so their genetics and bodies work differently that humans, as well as werewolves. For example, human hair color is determined by the amount of melanin, and while Meif'wa do have that in their hair, there's a lot more different types of pigments in hair which make our hair brighter and a more unique hair color." I explain to him. Zane nods.
"Interesting. Can you tell me more about your kind?" He asks, showing a little bit of interest in learning more.
"Of course! What would you like to learn about first?" I exclaim, excited that someone wants to learn something from me and is actually taking me seriously.
"Let's see...." Zane thinks.
We end up talking until it's time for class. We part ways, him staying himself while I revert to Kawaii~Chan.
Kawaii~Chan then makes her way to class and gets ready.
It's nice every once and awhile where I can let down the mask around people, but they always get weirded out by it. Yet, Zane is interested and likes Nana more than Kawaii~Chan.
He's so weird.
