Nana POV

"Don't call me by her name anymore! I'm not her and I never will be!" I screamed. She wouldn't stop yelling at me. She wouldn't stop telling me what to do. She wouldn't stop torturing me.

I couldn't focus on anything. My mind felt like it was cracking and I wanted to scream.

Then I was pulled into a warm embrace. I felt safe and I could finally see in front of me.

"I won't, then. But I don't know what to call you. So tell me, what's wrong?" Zane said. I realized I was the one who screamed at him.. I felt a pain in my heart. I hugged him back and continued to cry.

I couldn't say a word, but being in his arms was enough to make me feel better. I didn't want it to go away, I wanted to stay there. Because he would protect me from me.

"Zane! Come on, we have to go home!" A gruff familiar voice said. I knew it was Garroth and he was calling Zane back to go home. He would have to leave me alone. My arms fell back down and were now at my sides.

"Hey, I'm sorry but I have to go. Let me at least help you get in the door." He said, he unwrapped his hands around me and stood up. He reached his hand out.

I looked up with my puffy eyes. I reached towards his hand and he pulled me up. I didn't let go of his hand.

"Kawa- what should I call you now?" He asked. I didn't feel ready to tell him. If I told him before Kawaii~Chan is gone, then what's the point?

"For now, just call me Kawaii~Chan. It doesn't matter." I replied. I smiled and went inside my house.

I felt so warm in his embrace, but my house feels so cold. How can one person make you warm but your 'home' doesn't?

Hmph, you never listen to me. Try getting closer with him, it'll just ruin everything I've worked hard to do until now! Now just listen as Kawaii~Chan deals with Nana~Sama's mess, alright!~

I feel like crying again.

"Nee~Chan!" I hear a high pitched voice say. I'm tackled by fluffy green hair and I instinctively hold them.

"Remi! I told you not to do that! You could get hurt..." I scolded her. She looked sad. I couldn't stay mad at her so I pinched her cheeks.

"Oh, nee~chan! Are you alright?" She asks. My eyes widened. "I heard you screaming outside and I was worried. Whoever hurt my nee~chan will pay!"

I softened my gaze and hugged her. Out of all my siblings, Remi is my favorite. My siblings usually don't care for me, same with my parents. I'm just one of the middle children, so I'm not so special.

"It's alright, Remi. Let's go to the kitchen, I'll bake you something delicious!" I exclaimed, feeling the urge to bake.

"Yay!" Remi climbed onto my shoulders and I carried her to the kitchen.

"Okay, would you like cookies, cake, brownies... what are you feeling, Remi?" I asked as the she climbed a stool to sit down on.

"Hmm... cookies! Nee~Chan makes the best checkered cookies!" She cheered, almost falling backwards in her chair.

"Be careful! Alright, I'll make some checkered cookies then." I complied and started to get out the ingredients.

"Nee~Chan, can you teach me a little bit of how to make them? When I grow older, I'm gonna make them for you!" She said. I nodded and motioned for her to come towards me.

•Recipe Begins•

"Alright, it may be a lot but I'll lead you through it! First off, here are the ingredients:
•Vanilla Dough•
-50g of room temperature butter. If it's cold, then just microwave it for 10 seconds.
-2.5 tbsp. of granulated sugar
-1/2 of a beaten egg, room temperature
-100g of cake flour, you can use all-purpose flour, however it makes the cookies denser
-a few drops of vanilla extract.
•For the Chocolate Dough•
-add 15g of cocoa powder
{Be sure to prepare 2x of everything so you can make the two doughs!}
1) Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until it's white and fluffy.
2) Add 1/2 a beaten egg little by little and mix well.
3) Add a few drops of vanilla extract and mix well.
4) Sift in the cake flour (for the chocolate dough, sift the cocoa powder as well), then mix well with a spatula. When the dough starts to crumble, use your hands to mix tougher until formed. Then form into an 1 1/2 inch square rectangular stick. Wrap in plastic wrap and cool in the freezer for about 30 min. to set and chill." I explained to Remi.
