Hearing the sounds of New York City makes me smile a bit.
Even if it's really loud, I don't mind. Like at all.
I get more comfortable in my blue fuzzy blanket as I check my phone.
Lots and lots of work emails.

"Ugh" I moan, in a agitated way of course.
I see a text message pop up from Grayson.

I lightly smile to myself as I read the text.

I wake up from a notification on my phone.
I groan as I reach for my phone.
I check and see a message from Grayson.
grayson: picking u up in 10 minutes! Super excited:)
I chuckle from him being excited just seeing me.
I eventually get up and walk to my closet.
I grab a long sleeve shirt along with black leggings.
I grab a coat that's a caramel color and that's furry.
I grab a beanie and some socks.
I pack my book in my mini backpack.
Of course.
I pull out my winter boots from my closet as I apply some mascara.
I walk towards my bedroom window and see white covering the ground.
When did it start snowing?! I didn't even notice!
I smile as I look down to the little kids creating snowman's and having snowball fights.
I never experienced that as a kid.
I get interrupted by my phone.
grayson: I'm here :)
I grab my mini backpack and unlock my door.
let's hope today will be nice.

I watch Thalia as she walks towards me.
I don't have a car because New York has too much traffic. I rather take Uber or taxi.
I watch as she pulls a strand of her brown hair behind her ear.
"Hey there!" I say grabbing her attention.
"Hello Grayson" she says looking up to my eyes.
She's great at eye contact.
"Are you ready to sled?" I ask getting more and more excited by the second.
"I guess" she answers. (an: Emma chamberlain- tHaNkS, i gUeSs🤠)
I look down at her and smile.
I grab her hand in mine and start running.
"GRAYSON!!!" She yells while laughing.
I've never heard her laugh before.
I start laughing along with her as we get closer to our destination.
I stop once we reach a hill covered with tons of snow.
"Woah" she lets out looking at her surroundings.
"Beautiful isn't it" I ask still holding onto her hand.
"Yeah" She says slowing letting go of my hand.
I frown as I feel my hands get cold again.
"Where's the sled?" She asks looking at me.
I feel slight embarrassment kick in as I realized I don't have a sled.
"Yeah um about that-" I say scratching my neck until I get interrupted.
"You don't have one do you" She says with an eyebrow raised.
"I have this though" I say grabbing some big cardboard left on the ground.
She laughs as she looks at it. "Okay, but we better not get hurt." She says still looking at the crappy piece of cardboard.
"Hopefully not!" I say with a serious yet silly chuckle.
"Well, you go first, I'm not breaking a bone today" She says crossing her arms over her chest.
"Fine!" I say lowering the cardboard on the snowy hill.
I look over at her looking nervously at me.
"Be careful" she says while biting her nails.
I smile from her actually caring about me. I adjust my beanie as I sit down on the cardboard.
Let's do this.
My feet collide with the snow as I push off.
I let out a ugly scream as I feel little snow bits flying in my face.
I slow down a bit as I breath heavily.
I get interrupted by the sound of laughing going through my ears.
I look back to Thalia laughing her ass off.
I laugh at the sight as she holds her stomach from laughing so much.
I try to walk up the hill but from that I just fall on the ground.
I groan as I try to get up.
More laughter fills the the air.
I smile from her having fun and laughing. Even if it's laughing at me.
