a week had passed since everything had happened i walked out to the porch and saw rosita sitting there. "hey" i said getting her attention she smiled and mentioned me to sit next to her. "hey" "so what do you think we should do?" "what does everybody else think?" she asked "Ashley wants to stay and so does Oliver.. but, i know you have your doubts about this place" "do you?" she asked "i'm not sure, they haven't given me a reason to not trust them but, this place.. i don't think its secure for us" she nodded, "its such an open area, a herd could just tear us apart over night" just as she said that Ashley came outside "what are you two talking about?" she asked "if we should leave or stay" i said "what? why?" she asked looked back and fourth at me and rosita "why would we have to leave?" "its not the safest place ash. it could get overrun" i explained "we shouldn't have to run forever, this place is perfect... it could be home" she said attempting to convince us "we don't know ash" i said slowly "at least try it before we leave" she said walking back inside i sighed "one more day" rosita nodded in agreement.
~~~ we all sat at the dinner table eating quietly. "i wanna thank you for everything you've done for us hershel, its greatly appreciated" he nodded "its the godly thing to do" we all finished eating and went our separate ways i grabbed rosita and pulled her into the hall. "did you notice anything with Ashley and Oliver?" i asked "yeah they were acting pretty weird... oh my god" she said in realization "they're probably hooking up" she said "really?" i said giving her a look "good for them" rosita said thinking "i'm being serious!" i said hitting her arm "okay okay, why don't we just ask them?" i sighed and started walking outside with rosita following me "guess thats a yes" i heard her mumble once we stepped outside, Ashley and Oliver were talking but stopped as soon as they saw us. "what are you hiding?" Rosita asked bluntly they looked at each other and sighed "so you are hooking up?!" rosita yelled laughing "wait what?" Ashley said "oh my god they think were secretly having sex" Oliver said "i told you they weren't" i said hitting rosita again she rolled her eyes, "so if its not that then what is it?" "we saw something" Ashley said quietly "saw what?" i asked "walkers... theres walkers in the barn.." Oliver said slowly "what?!" me and rosita said in sync. rosita pulled out her gun and started running towards the barn. "wait!" i yelled as i ran after her. once she reached the front of the barn she stopped. "how many are in there?" she asked "over a dozen i think" Oliver said i pulled out my flashlight and slowly walked towards the barn. i pointed the light in a crack and started to look in. within seconds there was pounding along with growling against the barn door. i stepped back and turned towards them. "what do we do?" Ashley asked "let me talk to hershel" i said "we can sort this out in the morning just in case if it goes badly, well have daylight" i explained "so we're sleeping here again knowing what in this barn?" rosita asked "we've been here for a while already just fine, another night won't kill us" i said. they all nodded and rosita just sighed shaking her head but didnt say a word. we all walked back inside and went into our room without saying a word and attempted to sleep. ~~~ the next morning we all were up pretty early. all of us met in the room me and rosita were sleeping in "so what are we gonna do?" Oliver asked pacing around "stop pacing your making me nervous" Ashley complained "i cant help it! what if they're killing people and putting them in their barn to turn?! maybe thats why they're so nice" he said pacing even faster i grabbed him by his shoulders and stopped him "relax Oliver, if it turns out bad well leave. we can make it out of this, so with that being said, you two.." i said looking at Oliver and Ashley "get the car ready and get our stuff in there, and you" i said pointing at rosita "stay close to me without them knowing just in case they try something" they all nodded and we went out separate ways. i walked downstairs and saw hershel with maggie and beth sitting in their living room. "hershel?" i asked to get his attention "what can i do for you?" he asked "i need to speak with you about something, it's important... alone" i said "my daughters can know, its okay" he said chuckling slightly i sighed before clearing my throat, "i saw whats in the barn" i said he sighed, "stay away from there" "no i'm sorry we cant do that" i said sternly "that barn is right next to this house, they're dangerous" "they're just sick" he argued "sick?" i asked "there has to be a cure, they wont be that way forever, they'll come back they-" "no" i said cutting him off "they're dead and they're dangerous; and if you cant see that then you and your daughters might as well already be dead too" "you just don't understand, you-" "no hershel, you don't understand! you haven't been out there since this started, you haven't seen what its like, what they do to you! how they tear you apart, they're dangerous and if you cant understand that well be on our way." before he could respond, Ashley and Oliver came barging in. "we all need to leave, now." Oliver said breathless "what are you-" "sam, now" Ashley said we all went outside and saw a herd bigger than we've ever seen coming towards the house "oh fuck" i muttered starring off at it "we gotta go, now" rosita said we all started running towards the car but i stopped when i heard Maggie's voice "daddy we gotta go" i turned and saw maggie and beth attempting to pull hershel but he wouldn't budge "maggie, beth" i said getting their attention "get in one of the cars, now" the ran into one of the cars and i grabbed hershel's arm "we've got to go hersh" "no this is my farm!" "not anymore" i said pulling him just as i got him to start walking a swarm of them came at us "shit" i mumbled pulling out my gun, beginning to shoot at them. "sam!" i heard Ashley yell from behind me i turned around and she mentioned me to follow her "you, get into one of the cars" i said to hershel he nodded and i ran to Ashley "i've got a plan" she said once i reached her "come with me" she said grabbing my arm and running we ran to the barn and climbed to the top "so whats the plan?" i asked she gave me a lighter "on my say so, drop the lighter, rosita is gonna meet us on that side" she said pointing "this will go into flames and hopefully distract the walkers so we can leave" i nodded in agreement and she ran off, starting to pour gasoline everywhere "now!" she yelled i turned on the lighter, dropped it and ran. everything went to flames and just like she said, rosita drove up and got us. "get in" she yelled from the drivers side window. me and Ashley jumped down and got into the car. rosita was driving and Hershel was in the passengers side. "where do i go?" she asked "the highway where we left our car before going into the woods" i said she speed out of there "and the rest of them?" Ashley asked looking back "Oliver will know where to meet us" i said "just keep driving"
