No, no, no, no

No, no, no, no, no, no

I still see your shadows in my room

Can't take back the love that I gave you

It's to the point that I love and I hate you

Kara began to tear up once again. Thinking of Lena always brought this on. She still can't believe things didn't work out the way she wanted. They could have been so happy together.

Listening to my heart instead of my head

You found another one, but

I am the better one

I won't let you forget me

I still see your shadows in my room

Seeing Lena wearing her own clothes was jaw dropping. It was movie night and Lena came straight from work, of course. Walking in to Kara's apartment in a black skin tight mid thigh length dress and fuck me heals was one way Kara was used to seeing Lena dressed. However as movie night progressed Kara noticed Lena getting a bit uncomfortable. Once the first movie was over Kara offered "Do you want a change of clothes? We still have three movies to go." Lena graciously accepted and changed into a little too tight Supergirl logo shirt and tiny shorts. Her hair had been pulled back into a messy bun, face now clear of all make up, and bare feet padding into the room. Kara was frozen, mouth hanging wide open, and heart stopped.

You left me falling and landing inside my grave

I know you want me dead

I take prescriptions to make me feel a-okay

I know it's all in my head

I have these lucid dreams where I can't move a thing

Thinking of you in my bed

Kara was laying in bed next to Lena watching her chest rise and fall. Her eyes flickering to all the places Kara admired about her, her pink puffy lips, her rounded nose, perfectly trimmed eye brows that can make any board member fear her and bring Supergirl to her knees in desire, long silky hair she loves to fist, round supple breasts, and nipples in Kara's favorite shade of pink. It was only when Lena's heart beat raised and a gasp escaped her lips did Kara realize she was floating.

Lena felt betrayed. Everyone knew who Kara was. Everyone except Lena. She found the truth throughout the argument. Kara had kept this secret for so long. Ignoring the fact she was betraying the one person she should have trusted completely. Lena trusted Kara with damn near everything. Even down to most of her secret projects she was working on. Only a slight few staying hidden due to the nature and the science wasn't there yet. After hours of raised voices, I'm sorry's, and tears did Lena leave.

You were my everything

Thoughts of a wedding ring

Now I'm just better off dead

I'l do it over again

I didn't want it to end

I watch it blow in the wind

I should've listened to my friends

Did this shit in the past

But I want it to last

Long before the fight Kara had visited Midvale. She was missing Eliza and needed space from friends who begged her to leave Lena. James was the first to tell her to leave. Her being a Luthor was his only reasoning. Alex, however, was the last. She had solid reasoning though. From the blatant disregard for Kara's feeling on Lena constantly working late, to the nights Kara cried herself to sleep on Alex's shoulder because Lena stood her up on date nights. She was constantly changing lunch dates and dinner dates, never actually being seen with Kara in public and only ever meeting at Kara's apartment, nowhere else. Alex saw the signs that Lena didn't fully love her and wanted to protect Kara from the hurt.

Eliza knew of the treatment from Alex and the others. But hearing of the relationship from Kara, there was nothing but love, compassion, trust, steadfastness, patience, and bares all things. With this Eliza knew Kara was in love with Lena. But she wasn't so sure Lena was in love with Kara. Eliza could do no more than listen. She didn't feel comfortable encouraging the relationship further.

Kara didn't need the help to further her relationship though. She was walking through town and passed a jewelry store. In the window she saw it, a ring, silver, with a beautiful cushion cut blue green sapphire accented with diamonds lining the band. She cried when saw the ring. It was a beautiful mix of the blue shown through her own eyes and the electrifying green of Lena's. In her heart she knew there was no way Lena could say no. So she left Midvale early and headed home to Lena.

I was tangled up in your drastic ways

Who knew evil girls had the prettiest face

you gave me a heart that was full of mistakes

I gave you my heart and you made heart break

You made my heart break

You made my heart ache

The morning after the fight.

Kara woke up choking on air. Crying herself to sleep really did her in. The puffy red rimmed eyes were crusted over from dried tears that failed to fall completely down her face. She stayed in bed for a week before getting up. Avoiding every one and everything that didn't have to do with Lena. For months she would go to Lena's office and wait in the waiting room begging for just a few minutes of her time. Which slowly turned into waiting for just a glimpse of her.

After 6 months of Lena fully avoiding Kara. Kara barged in to her office with tears in her eyes and gently laid the black velvet box with the Supergirl symbol embossed on the lid down on her desk. She made one final heart felt proposal while promising to never ever keep anything from the women she loved. Lena sat stunned and after a long gut wrenching pause she laughed in Kara's face.

I still see you shadows in my room

Can't take back the love that I gave you

It's to the point that I love and I hate you

And I cannot change you so I must replace you

Easier said than down

I thought you were the one

Listening to heart instead of my head

You found another one

I won't let you forget me

Kara still floats just outside her window. Protecting the only person she has ever fully and completely loved. Its been 10 years and Kara watched as Lena married, gave birth to three beautiful children, 2 girls and a boy, divorced, and puts her children to bed with stories of the time she once knew the girl of steel.
