¤ Third POV ¤

Calypso was still unconscious, laying in the back of Sedona's brother's car. Her friend constantly kept turning around to see if she was alright. "I hope she wakes up soon." Sedona said, biting at her nails a little bit. Her brother, Nevado looked up in the rear view mirror. "She's fine. As long as she's still breathing." He said that in a nonchalant tone.

Sedona slapped him in the back of the neck. She was clearly worried about her friend. He showed little consideration. "Show some compassion. You saved her after all asshole." Sedona crossed her arms over her chest.

"I did it for you, not because I care for her. This shit ruined my chance at getting some head tonight." He rolled his eyes while rubbing the back of his neck. Sedona looked over at her brother, shaking her head in disbelief. "So you care more about getting...you know what ew." Sedona turned away from him, staring out the winodw.

By the time they got home, their mother was gone for work. Sedona and Nevado got out of the car. He opened the back door and picked Calypso up with ease. He then took her into the house, placing her on the couch. "I'm out. I got plans." Nevado said as soon as he let Calypso go. "Whatever." Sedona shook her head. She looked over at Calypso. "I'll keep you updated on her." Nevado was already halfway out the door so he heard very little of what his sister was saying.

Sedona took a blanket out of the hallway closet. She placed it over her friend. "Wake up soon." Sedona placed a hand over Calypso's head, it was very warm. "She must be running a fever." Her friend went into the kitchen to get a rag. She ran some cold water over it before coming back to place it on her head. Sedona left the living room to get herself ready for bed.

~Within Calypso's Mind~
~Flashback~

A tiny calypso swam quick towards the school of fish that were passing by, her mother following suit. "Don't go to far my dear." Nerissa spoke to her daughter. Calypso used to be a vibrant and care free child. She was thought to be extrodinary and unique. Merfolk would always tell Nerissa how beautiful her daughter was. The way her mermaid tail scales glistened whenever she swam pass the sunlight that peaked into the water made any merperson stare.

"Don't worry mama. I won't go to far." She spoke to her mother as she continued to swim towards the fish. They eventually dispersed when they saw Calypso coming. "Oh come on, I wanted to catch one." She pouted, crossing her arms. Nerissa came to where her daughter was, she let out a soft laugh. "My sweet baby girl, I told you not to swim so fast. You will end up scaring them away just like you did." Nerissa swept a few strands of her daughter's hair behind her ear.

"I'm impatient..." Calypso muttered. Her mother smiled at the young girl. "I know. You're just like your father." Nerissa spoke in a somber tone about her own husband. Calypso noticed how much her mood changes whenever she does. She picked up a small seashell from the ocean floor, holding it up for her mother to see. "I'm going to make you a necklace." Calypso spoke with glee.

Nerissa looked at the seashell then back to her daughter. A smile once again forming on her face. "You definitely get your creativity from me." The woman laughed. "Let's find some more, I know the perfect place." She waved her hand towards a direction for Calypso to follow her in. The pair were off seeking some seashells for the necklace.

It wasn't long until they came to an area which was littered with seashells. The ocean floor almost looked like a painting. The vibrant colors that each shell had made Calypso squeel. She swam all around them, gawking at the extrodinary colors. "Mama! There's so many, I don't know where to start." She said.
