Sam's POV

I watched as Alex paced back and forth in her office, as I sat on her chair. "Where the hell did they come from?" Alex asked, looking towards her father. "The better question is how did they get those bullets," Her father said, sitting up on the couch. She looked at me and walked over, making me sit up instantly. I could sense how tense she was so I slowly stood up and let her have a seat. Once she sat down, I blushed furiously as she pulled me into her lap. "There must be a way of finding out." She said, thinking for a bit.

I then notice her completely zone out and could tell she was mind linking someone. A few minutes passed and there was a knock on the door, her father getting up to open it. "You called Alpha," A man said as he walked in with two other guys. She looked up and nodded her head a bit. "Yes, I need you three to go out and see what you can find out about these hunters and where they are getting those bullets from," She said. They nodded and bowed their heads down. "Yes Alpha, we're on it," They said before hurrying out to do as told.

I looked at her and she hummed softly at me. "Those are our Upsilons, Jackson, Henry, and Jonah," She said. "They're our spies" She explained. I nodded slowly and tugged a strand of hair behind her ear gently. "Well since you seem to have this handle I'm going to see if they need any help out there" Harrison cleared his throat. I looked up at him and gently bit my lip, completely forgetting he was in here. "Alright," She said, looking at him.

When he walked out, I felt her tilt my head towards her and I smiled a bit. "Mm you're doing well so far" I whispered and cupped her cheek. She relaxed and sighed softly, leaning towards my touch. "I hope Justin is recovering" She murmured. "Seeing Amanda like that... it breaks my heart" She said, leaning back and closed her eyes. I nodded and slowly ran my hand down her arm. "She means a lot to you right?" I whispered. She looked at me and instantly frowned. "She's like my sister, it's not what you think" She explained. I nodded a bit, not jealous at all.

"I'm not thinking anything," I said, glancing at her lips and smiled softly. "I know you're mine," I said, with extreme confidence. "Am I now?" She asked, smirking slightly. I nodded slowly and turned to straddle her lap, not knowing where this boost of confidence came from. "Sam... I want to kiss you," She mumbled, glancing down at my lips as her hand ran down my back slowly. I nodded slowly and wrapped my arms around her neck. Before I could register what was happening I felt a soft pair of lips against mine and instantly blushed, kissing them back, our lips moving together in sync. I felt a rush of warmth run through my body and pulled her closer towards me, the kiss slow and soft.

I felt her slowly pull away after a while and I felt my eyes slowly flutter open. I grinned instantly as my green eyes meet her hazel ones. "Have you ever kissed anyone before?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. I blushed deeply and shook my head slowly. "No, just came naturally I guess" I mumbled and played lightly with her hair. She chuckled softly and nodded. I slowly got up and hummed softly.

"You should go check on Amanda," I said, running a hand through my hair a bit. She nodded and got up as I began to walk towards the door but I felt her hand grab my arm and turn me around, causing me to squeal softly. She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my lips before she let me go. I looked at her and took a deep breath before I slowly walked out, bumping into the door as I forgot to turn the knob, causing me to turn even redder than I was.

I could feel butterflies in my stomach and it made me want to feel her lips on mine even more, but I knew Blake would urge more. 'We must mark our territory before anyone drives us apart' She said. I took a deep breath and shook my head as I made my way outside. 'I'm not marking her yet Blake... I want to do it at the right time' I replied.

I got outside and walked towards where some of the kids were. I smiled as several ran up to me to get me to come play with them. I knew it would be best if I did as some seemed uneasy, probably because they overheard the adults talk about the hunters. I led them towards the park area and played with them.
