Alex's POV
As I pulled up into the driveway, I glanced over at Sam. She looked up from her phone and smiled a bit. "I hope you had a good night," I said, resting my head back. "I did, it was honestly one of the best nights of my life" She nodded. I smiled and got out of the car, walking to her side and opened the door, helping her out. I carefully took her hand and led her to the backyard. "So you think we can do this again? A second date?" I asked, looking at her. I saw a smile slowly appear on her face and she nodded. "I would love that," She said and looked up at me.
When we reached her cottage we stopped and I turned to face her. "You sure you don't want to get out of this dinner with my parents?" I chuckled a bit and lightly placed my hands on her hips. "What? Do you not want your dad to meet me?" She asked me and frowned a bit. "No, no that's not it. I just... I don't want my dad to bomb you with questions. And I know they'll love you once they get to know you but... my dad isn't truly all for me being with a girl or the fact that two girls will be in charge of the pack." I said, sighing.
She watched me and nodded her head a bit. "I understand, but me not attending won't prove him wrong." She said, causing me to smile a bit. "You're right love..." I murmured and looked into her eyes. I took a deep breath, glancing down at her lips. She must have noticed because she placed her hands on my shoulders and pulled me a bit closer to her. I began to lean down but the door of the cottage opened, causing her to jump back. "Hello there" The guy who had opened the door earlier, when I came to get her, stood there with a smirk on his face. "Um, Hey," I said and looked back at Sam who was all red. I smiled and leaned down, kissing her cheek softly. "I'll see you tomorrow my dear," I said and looked up at the guy. "Night" I nodded at him before I walked away.
I headed towards the pack house and inside, to see my dad talking to my mom. She looked up at me and smiled softly. "Hey honey, how was your date?" She asked. "It went well, had dinner and just walked around the park" I shrugged a bit. "Sounds fun, have you had time to think about Andres?" My dad asked, standing up. I sighed softly and began to walk towards the office, which he followed me as well as my mother. "I told you, I want to keep him in the cells until I know for sure that he is not a threat. I can't just make up my mind in one night. You may trust him, but when was the last time you spoke to him? He might have changed." I shrugged. "So as far as I'm concerned I don't know who he is, where he came from, and if he's trustworthy," I said. He sat down and nodded. "Fine, but at least make sure they treat him well." He said. "I will, they know to give him his meals and I'll make sure that he that let him get some sun," I said. "Wow look at you, being all in charge on your first day" My mom smiled. I glanced at her and laughed softly, shrugging a bit.
After I finished talking to them I headed upstairs to my bedroom and changed, thinking about Sam and couldn't help but grin a bit. The fact that I almost got to kiss her was driving me crazy. She seemed to have been okay with it too. I decided to get some rest and jumped up on my bed, closing my eyes and eventually fell into a deep sleep.
I woke up the next morning to someone moving around in my bed and I slowly opened my eyes, knowing who it was. I glanced over and saw Amanda on her phone, trying to get comfortable in the spot she was in. "You know, one of these days I'm gonna lock the door so you can't get in" I muttered tiredly. She looked at me and instantly grinned. "Sorry, I would let you sleep but I want to know how it went," She said, sitting up. I took a deep breath and looked at her. "Went great. Dinner and the park were casual enough for me to get to know her a bit more" I nodded. "We ran into some assholes though who tried hitting on us." I laughed a bit. "Mm and we almost kissed but her friend ruined the moment before it happened so, there's that luck" I sighed, sitting all the way up.
She pouted a bit and nodded her head a bit. "Well that sucks, but hey at least you guys got to spend time together" She grinned a bit. I smiled and nodded a bit. "Yeah we did, and my parents invited her to dinner tonight so that's going to be fun," I said sarcastically. "Oh god, I wish her luck," She said and unlocked her phone. "So what's with this rogue in the cells? I heard Justin talking to Reed about him" She raised an eyebrow a bit.
