Sam's POV

I stood outside the packhouse, waiting for Alex by her car. It was Friday, and we were heading to the Arctic Packs territory. I made up my mind Wednesday night to come along and was nervous as I've never traveled outside our area. The men that were hunting on our land had gotten a visit by the police, influencing them not to come back to our woods. It's been calm for the past week, and it was a relief to some, but others were still nerve-racked.

I looked up as Alex came out with her suitcase, walking over to the trunk to put it in, along with mine. "Reed will be down in a bit. Did you tell your aunt we were heading out?" She asked, walking towards me. I nodded a little, running a hand through my hair. "Yeah, she told me to be safe. And to let you know that if something happens to me, she'll personally shove wolfsbane down your throat," I hummed. She stared at me and took a deep breath. "I wouldn't doubt it for a second. So I'll make sure you come home untouched," she said.

I couldn't help but let a small giggle slip my lips, pulling her close to me. "Relax, I told her she doesn't have to worry. You're going to take care of me," I said and leaned up to press a kiss to her lips. She let out a small sigh of relief and wrapped her arms around my waist, pulling me close as her lips moved against mine. I ran my hands up her arms, pulling away after a bit. "Mm, we should warm up the car," I grinned a bit. She groaned before she opened the passenger side for me, helping me in. I took a seat, looking out the window after she closed the door, watching as Reed came out with his suitcase.

He walked to the trunk, putting the suitcase in before he walked up and got in the back. "How long is the drive?" I asked curiously, glancing over at Alex, who just got in. "Ugh, like 4 to 5 hours," she said, glancing back at Reed. "Yeah, something like that," he chuckled. "Can we stop and get snacks?" He asked her, pouting his lip out. I laughed softly and shook my head as Alex rolled her eyes. "Yes, fatass. But if you make a mess in my back seat, you will clean it." She said. "Your love for this car is unbelievable," I snorted, shaking my head.

She looked over at me and smirked. "Don't be jealous, I've got plenty of love to give," she winked at me. I looked at her and shook my head. "You think I'm jealous of a car? That's cute," I rolled my eyes as she pulled out and began down the road. "Oh please, when we made out the other day, I pressed you up against it, and I completely left you to make sure I didn't scratch or dent it. You ignored me for the rest of the day," she said. "We were having a moment, you completely forgot about me for your car," I huffed, crossing my arms a bit. She looked over at me with a smirk. "Jealous," she said. I let a small growl escape my lips, causing her to look at me surprised, before returning her eyes to the road. "Relax princess, you know I'd pick you over the car any day." she smiled, reaching over to place her hand on my thigh. I looked down at her hand and blushed instantly, feeling my stomach knot up.

After a long car ride and Reed singing his lungs out to practically every song that came on the radio, we arrived at the Arctic packhouse. As we got out, we were met by two large figured making their way towards us. "Alex, long time no see," the brunette with what seemed like green eyes grinned. He came up to Alex and instantly wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug, which she returned. A small involuntary growl slipped from my lips, causing Alex to pull away, looking at me.
