Callbacks

"Callbacks" April says while walking into glee club followed by Holly Holiday and Coach Bieste. Most of the members turned their heads quickly to listen, but Megan and John just rolled their eyes.

"We will we having callbacks for Link and Tracy" she continues.

"So, if you hear your name you have a callback for these roles" Holly says and takes the list out of her pocket.

"Ryder Lynn,

John Harries,

Alisha Henderson,

Megan Cartwright" Holly says.

"What are we singing?" Ryder asks and a boy in a wheelchair wheels in.

"Ladies' Choice, and you are going to do it Hand Jive style" He says while stopping himself when he reaches Coach Bieste. Kitty, Jake, Ryder and Marley all seem excited by this boy's arrival.

"1. Who are you? And 2. What do you mean Hand Jive style?" Megan says interrupting.

"I'm Artie Abrams, I used to be in this glee club but I graduated." He says.

"Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure I slushied you a couple of times" John says and gets a first look from Kitty.

"Anyway, Hand Jive style is someone starts singing the song and you cut it show us your best vocal range and dance moves" He continues, ignoring John's comment. April starts to give the four the sheet music.

"Wanna practice a routine to outshine the other candidates?" John asks as Megan closes her locker.

"No thanks," Megan says and looks up at him. "Since when did you even care about signing and dancing?" She adds while they are both walking.

"Since I met you" he says with a half smile. She starts to walk away but he joins her.

"That's bull crap, you don't give a flying rat's ass about me or what I like. You just want to get into my pants. And I can tell you, that's not happening anytime soon. Probably never." She says and walks into the empty girls restroom to get away from him. She puts her hands on the sink, gripping them on each side, while looking at herself in the mirror. Taking a deep breath, she unclenches her fists from the sink and opens her bag. Carefully taking out a small container, she opens it and takes out two small white pills. She looks behind her and walks up to the toilet. She throws them down and flushes.

Ryder:

Ryder begins to dance over to Megan but is interrupted by John taking her hand.

John:

Hey little girl, take me off the shelf

'Cause it's hard having fun playing with yourself

John and Megan do some sixties's style dancing.

John and Megan:

Once you browse through the whole selection

Prettiest package she never did see

Take me home and then unwrap me

While Megan and John where singing together, Alisha made her way over to Ryder and began dancing with him. Megan saw and walked away from John to join Ryder.

Alisha:

Shop around, but lil' darling, I've got to be

Megan:

The ladies' choice, ladies' choice, the ladies' choice

Megan sneaks in between them and her and Ryder start doing 'the mash potato'.

Ryder:

After being booted out by Megan, Alisha went over and joined John.

Ryder and John:

Hearing Alisha sing she was happy that the other girl was dancing with John but listening to Alisha's voice grow louder and better Megan knew she wanted the role.

Megan and Alisha:

Closer inspection, I'm sure that you'll agree

I'm the ladies' choice, ladies' choice, ladies' choice

Megan:

Megan and Ryder:

Alisha and John:

Once the four finish the song, the rest of the glee club are up on there feet giving everyone a standing ovation. Megan and Ryder hug each other but after about a minute they realise that they haven't talked to each other in the past week and both pull away quickly. They look at each other and stand awkwardly next to John and Alisha.

"That was great guys!" April exclaims as she walks onto the stage. "We'll discuss this and get back to you guys within a few days when posting the cast list!"
