You'll always be that dark skin girl
no matter how much bleach you whiten your skin to
you'll always be the girl with dirty skin that makes people point
and stare as if you some ugly thing
and black girl knows,
she knows when you stare and whisper
black girl seen it all she seen how her skin makes the world uncomfortable

She is told the world is her oyster ,the one she drowns in ,the one that ends up killing her at the end of the movie
but ain't it funny how drowned corpses always have an inconvenient way with showing them selves

Pale skin reach the surface of an ocean painted red from death
afterall , all we hear about is the same white girl because the news care less about that brown skin that glows in the moon light
they think at night we be the ones up to no good
as if this criminal is in our blood as if black girls don't drown too
See black girl knows
she pays attention
so she pales her skin so noticeably white we question not her sanity
never her mental state but if she envies the same white girls that made it on the news this morning
we question if this is all for show
if this is for attention she never gets at home
as if
we care
anyways.
