Nathan's POV

After checking the couple out I felt the urge to embrace Serina. Holding my arms out she willingly came with no hesitation. It made me feel good. This young witch could be a pain at times, but I cared far too much about her. It was scary to think how quickly I became attached to her, and Visa versa.

"Can we continue the story?" She looks up at me and I feel like my heart melts.

"Yeah." I clear my throat and try to remember where we were at. "I and Damian had found her while out and she was torturing some humans. They were all tied up and some were barely alive." Serina stiffens so I rubbed her back soothingly.

"We had to detain her and drag her back to the city. I helped in the process of... well... rehabilitate her. She seemed to respond better to me than anyone else. After a few years, she was fine to be on her own. I still keep tabs on her from time to time but she's been doing great." Damian finished for me.

"She can teach you 3 how to fight for sure, but please, be careful and watch yourselves. Damian may trust her but she makes me uneasy." Serina hops up and faces me.

"I can just use my magic on her though." She gets in a terrible stance in an attempt to look intimidating.

"No... no magic, it's bad enough she will be able to tell that Xavier is a lycan. We don't need her knowing you 2 are witches." Damian says as he steps beside me. I nod my agreement.

"Why? I thought you trusted her." Kierra asked him.

"I trust her to train you. And even if she has been doing good for a while I do know from time to time she will hunt wildlife and do some tests on them. None live of course, but her scientific curiosity is very much there." He was very serious when he spoke.

We both knew it was true, no matter what Phalisity would always be somewhat of a threat.

"Ok, so no magic. Got it." Kierra stood and stretched.

"Well, I need to head back and start the process of moving to the capital and organizing the training, and contacting her. So I'll see you later." Damian waved and I nodded.

"No! You can't leave now! I want to spend more time with Kierra!" Serina ran and bear-hugged her sister. I shook my head. Such a child.

"That's fine... just talk to your master." Damian clipped the leash and Serina looked at me pleadingly. Such a pain!

"Ug... fine... I have a lot to do anyway." I wave her off as she jumps with excitement. "Xavier, what are you doing?" I look over to the lycan.

"If you don't mind I would like to stay here." I nod and he seems to sigh with relief.

"Well then. I'll have her back before you close." With that, he left.

"I'm guessing you needed time away from the girls?" I go to the back where the pets are and he follows.

"Yeah, they are cool and all but, I need time to myself." He blushed slightly and I stopped.

"You need to relieve yourself?" I ask to clarify. A lycans stamina and drive are much like a vampire. I'm surprised he hasn't asked me to be alone sooner. Or maybe he waits until I and Serina are asleep.

"Y... yes sir." Xavier stammers and gets a shade redder.

I nod and motion for him to follow again. He does and I stop in front of some cages. "Well, choose which one you want." I motion at some of the girls who stare wide-eyed.

"Master! I could never! That's like rape... I would never wish to bring harm to" he starts on a noble rant but I interject.

"Ladies, would any of you be willing to help out our young friend with his... situation?" I wait as they all stare wide-eyed. Some scoot back while a few wiggles, already considering what the lad is offering.

"I still don't think that it's right to do that though." He looks at me.

"So you're going to tease them?" I raise my eyebrow.

"I'm saving myself for my mate though!" He seems genuinely upset. I shrug.

"Suit yourself then but let me ask you this? How many of your people find their true mate? Don't most just settle down eventually? On top of that, you're here, when do you get out to search for your mate? Never. So it's either one of them or your hand. And I promise it won't be as good if you turn one of them down." I nod towards the cages. More were closer to the bars now, hoping he would give in.

"But..." he looks down and fidgets with his hands. He knew I was right. As much as it sucked it was reality. I didn't coat things with Xavier like I did Serina. He was stronger, and I needed him though. This was a small obstacle compared to the days to come. When we helped Damian with Kierra and her destiny. He would need to make harder decisions than this.

"Times ticking kid..." I prod him.

"Ok, I'll choose." He glances at the girls who are now excited.

I understand why. Xavier isn't a bad looking Male. To humans, he's above average in looks. And some days when I enter the shop I can smell the previous night's arousal in the air. They most likely are tired of pleasing themselves as well.

He walks up to a blonde that grins wider as he approaches. "What's your name?" He asks her.

"Samantha" she blushes and squirms more.

"Are you ok with this?" She shakes her head before he even finishes. I unlock the door and the 2 go to the very back. The other girls look disappointed.

"Horn Dogs." I shake my head as I begin my chores.
