Chapter 12~ What Shall We Do?

Harry's POV

"I don't know. The gateway has sealed itself for some reason." Ron answered patting the wall.

"The train leaves at exactly 11:00. We've missed it." Bri commented and I looked at her in shock.

Ron looked at me with fear, "Harry, if we can't get through... ...maybe Mum and Dad can't get back."

I had an idea, "Maybe we should just go and wait by the car."

Ron looked confused, "The car."

We ran out of the train station and opened the trunk of the car.

"Hurry Ron, the muggles will find it odd that we are loading up a car trunk." Bri commented and Ron nodded nervously.

We closed the car trunk. I put Hedwig and Fidget in the back seat.

Ron started up the car and hit the gas. The car started to levitate off the ground and we were flying.

"Ron, I should tell you... ...most Muggles aren't accustomed to seeing a flying car." I stated and Ron nodded.

"Uhhh... Right. Okay." Ron hit a button which made the car invisible.

We were up in the clouds, driving over the mountains and the hills.

"Oh, no! The Invisibility Booster must be faulty." Ron stated.

"Come on, then. Let's go lower. We need to find the train." I ordered.

"Okay." Ron stated pulling the gear shift down and lowering the car down. Ron started to drive above the train tracks but only at least 2 centimeters away from touching the tracks.

"Now, all we need to do is catch up with the train." I stated.

"We can't be far behind." Bri stated sitting in between the two owls.

"Do you hear that?" I asked.

"We must be getting close." Ron smiled.

The whistle got louder and louder and I finally looked at Ron. Ron looked at me with a guilty, unpleasant face and Bri just looked at Ron and I. Hedwig and Fidget screeched.

THE TRAIN WAS RIGHT BEHIND US!!! IT WAS RIGHT ON OUR TAILS!!!

We screamed as the train kept on moving behind us. Ron kept on driving as we screamed and finally he took a sharp turn and got off the tracks. The car started to spin and went under the bridge. Then started to fly up. The door swung open and I fell out of the car, well somewhat. I was holding onto the handle of the car for dear life.

"Harry! Hold on." Ron shouted as one hand slipped.

"Harry!" Bri squealed.

"Hold on! Take my hand! Hold on!" Ron screamed again. I looked down and saw the train right under me. It was a pretty far drop. It could definitely kill me.

"I'm trying. Your hand's all sweaty." I shouted back up as Ron flinched his hand.

"Ron hurry up. Harry is slipping!" Bri shouted.

I reached up to grab Ron's hand and I made it, Ron pulled me up into the car and I closed the door, "I think we found the train."

"Yeah." Ron replied exhaling.

Soon enough we followed the train. Bri fell asleep when we finally made it to Hogwarts.

"Welcome home." Ron calmly stated and drove towards the school. Then all of a sudden.

PLUFF!

Smoke started to come out of the engine and the car was falling down.

Bri woke up with a startled expression, "What?!"

"Up! Up!" I shouted.

"It's not working!" Ron replied pushing on the break and the gas.

I helped Ron with the gear shift and pushed it every which way but nothing was working.

"Up! Ron, mind that tree!" I shouted and Bri was screaming.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!" I shouted and I heard a snapping noise.

We hit the tree and then a branch broke off and we started to fall backwards. Then we landed in the middle of the tree.

Ron looked miserable, "My wand. Look at my wand."

"Be thankful it's not your neck." Bri stated.

Then, THUD!

Ron squeaked, "What's happening?"

"I don't know." I replied.

There was a roar and a big piece of bark hitting the car. We were all screaming bloody murder. The bark hit the windshield cracking the glass. Then we were getting hit from the back and Bri was screaming. Ron grabbed Bri's hand and held it tight. We got hit in the front then the back then the front again. Then I saw a medium size branch center in the back. I gasped, "DUCK!"

Bri ducked and the branch shot through the back window. Then a something hit the roof of the car denting it in. We got hit in the back again and the car fell out of the tree. We yelled and screamed. The front car lights flickered. The tree started to move again and was getting ready to demolish us.

"Come on, go! Fast!" I shouted and Ron hit the gas.

The top of the tree fell down trying to crush us and then raised itself back up.

I looked at Ron and Ron looked back at me. I pulled down the car handle and both of the doors swung open and launched us out of the car. We hit the hard ground. The trunk opened up and launched our luggage out. I noticed that Brianna wasn't lying on the ground and I looked up. The car opened up the door gently and out stepped Bri with her owl cage.

"Thank you." She thanked the car.

"What?!" Ron screeched.

The car threw out Hedwig and I caught her and Ron's rat was thrown out as well. Luckily he caught his pet as well.

"Scabbers, you're okay." He stated.

Then the car closed all the doors and started to drive away.

"The car!" Ron shouted as we ran after it. "Dad's gonna kill me."

We ran back towards our luggage and carried it towards the bagging area. "See you, Hedwig." I stated leaving her there.

"Bye, Fidget." Bri stated.

We run up the castle stairs, "So a house-elf shows up in my bedroom... ...we can't get through the barrier to platform 93/4... ...we almost get killed by a tree... Clearly someone doesn't want me here this year." I ranted.

Then we ran into Filch, "Well, take a good look, lads. This night might well be the last you spend in this castle. Oh, dear, we are in trouble."

I looked at Ron and Bri and they looked back up at me with wide eyes.

What are we going to do?
