Bri's POV

Filch dragged us all the way to Professor Snape's office and Harry and Ron looked mortified.

Filch charged through the room and Snape had a newspaper in hand.

"You were seen by no less than seven Muggles. Do you have any idea how serious this is?"

I looked at Ron and Harry to see if they had nodded at Snape's question. But they just stood there with their hands at their side.

"You have risked the exposure of our world. Not to mention the damage you inflicted on a Whomping Willow... ...that's been on these grounds since before you were born."

"Honestly, Professor Snape, I think it did more damage to us." Ron commented.

"Silence." Snape sneared. He got up and slowly walked around his desk towards us, "I assure you that were you in Slytherin, and your fate rested with me... ...the both of you would be on the train home tonight. As it is..."

"They are not."

I quickly looked towards the voice that I heard and it was no other than Professor Dumbledore himself.

"Professor Dumbledore." I stated.

"Professor McGonagall." Harry commented as well.

I was glad that they appeared or we would have been punished by Snape somehow.

"Headmaster... ...these students have flouted the Decree for the Restriction of Underage Wizardry. As such..." Snape explained but Dumbledore stepped in, "I am well aware of our bylaws... ...having written quite a few of them myself. However, as head of Gryffindor house... ...it is for Professor McGonagall to determine the appropriate action."

Ron looked at me and then looked at Professor McGonagall sadly, "We'll go and get our stuff, then."

"What are you talking about, Mr. Weasley?" Professor McGonagall questioned.

"You're going to expel us, aren't you?" Ron replied glancing down at the floor.

"Not today, Mr. Weasley...," Professor McGonagall stated and Ron and Harry's faces lit up, "...but I must impress on both of you the seriousness of what you have done. I will be writing to your families tonight, and you will both receive detention."

"Thank you so much Prof..." I stated with a smile on my face but I was cut off.

"No need to thank me, you children must be tired and you have done enough for today. You should go to your house dorms now." Professor McGonagall replied and I nodded.

I started to walk out of the room; Harry and Ron soon followed behind me.

"Wasn't that so cool? We didn't get expelled!" Ron cheered as we walked up the steps.

"Yeah I guess, but we still got a detention." Harry commented.

"Don't forget about the letter that is going to be sent to our family's." I shot in and Ron's face was painted with a ghostly white.

He stopped walking and just stared with his mouth opened.

"Ron! Ron! Ron," I shook him, "What's wrong? What's going on with you!?"

Ron shook his head and started to talk to me, "I'm screwed! If my parents get that letter they are going to kill me for stealing the car!"

"Ron you're already going to get in trouble because I'm pretty sure your parents already knew that we took it. They probably came out of the train station and saw that the car was gone. They also probably noticed that we disappeared." Harry added in and I nodded.

"Well, I'm still screwed!" Ron complained and I sighed.

"Yeah, you still are." Harry sighed.

"I'm getting tired. Let's get to our rooms."  I stated and Harry nodded.

Harry: "Wait aren't you downstairs?"

Bri: "What do you mean?"

Harry: "Your dorm is down stairs in the kitchen."

Bri: "I forgot. *laughs* That's how tired I am."

Harry: "We could walk you down there if you would like."

Bri: "I'm okay with that."

Ron: "I can walk her down Harry. You go on up and get some sleep you look really tired."

Harry looked at Ron, "Don't worry Ron I can walk down with you guys. I'm not that tired."

Ron turned towards Harry and gave him a glare. Harry noticed and knew what he was up too, "I mean... Thanks Ron, you are so... so... so... kind. I'll see you soon up in the dorm. Bye, Bri see you tomorrow."

I waved to Harry, "Bye Harry."

Harry walked up the steps and Ron put his hands in his pocket, "Hey, sorry about that wild adventure in my Dad's car."

I looked at Ron wondering why he was apologizing, "I had a lot of fun! Yes it was scary at times but I felt so independent for once."

Ron smiled and then looked down at the steps. We started to walk down the steps and talked about what this school year had in store for us. It was quite wonderful actually, you know... talking to Ron.

~timeskip at entrance of the Hufflepuff dorm~

"Well here it is." Ron stated awkwardly while his hands were in his pockets.

I giggled at how awkward he was being and he smiled.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow, Weasley." I smiled.

Ron rubbed the back of his neck and I noticed a slight tint of red on his cheeks. It could have been because of the candles in the hallway.

"See you tomorrow, Williams." He replied with a slight smile on his face.

I turned away with a smile and tapped on the barrels. The door opened up revealing the entrance to the dorm. Ron smiled as I turned around bowing like I just performed an amazing act. He clapped quietly and I giggled at how funny he was being.

"Goodnight, Weasley." I stated.

"Goodnight." He replied.
