Ron's POV
I got dressed this morning and ran down to go eat breakfast in the Dining Hall. Harry had went with me of course and as soon as we got there Hermione was sitting down with her nose in a book.
"Morning." Harry greeted sitting down.
Hermione never took her nose out of the book, "Morning, Harry."
I gave a scoffed laugh, "What kind of greeting is that? Why do you always have your nose in a book?"
"That is none of your concern, Ronald. Besides, you will never get smarter if you don't read books." Hermione answered rolling her eyes.
"What are you reading anyways?" Harry asked trying to look at the page Hermione was reading.
"I'm reading about magical plants that we will be learning about in Herbology." She stated with a smart tone.
Harry nodded and turned back towards his empty plate.
Magically food appeared in the middle of the table and I started to grab waffles off of a plate.
I put four waffles on my plate and grabbed a fifth one. I started to raise the waffle towards my mouth when it suddenly disappeared out of my hand. I was confused on how it disappeared. Was there a spell on my waffle to make it disappear? I swear if Fred and George were messing with me again I was going to scream.
Hermione looked up from her book and smiled then glared at me. Harry looked up as well as he ate a sausage link.
"How much do you eat?!" I heard someone say from behind me.
I turned around to see Bri and I started to blush.
"I'm hungry." I stated.
She held my waffle up like a wand and looked down at me. She smirked and took a bite out of my waffle.
"Hey, that was my waffle!" I shouted and she just giggled. I reached out to take it from her and she pulled back.
"It's mine now." She stated and walked away with her friends.
She turned back around, "See you in Herbology class."
She was gone and I turned back around and started to eat again. I was trying to hide my blush but I'm pretty sure Harry already saw it.

"Morning, everyone." Professor Sprout came into the Greenhouse.
"Good morning, everyone." She repeated trying to get our attention.
"Good morning, Professor Sprout." We all answered in unison.
"Welcome to Greenhouse Three, second years. Gather around, everyone. Today we're going to re-pot Mandrakes. Who here can tell me the properties of the Mandrake root?"
Hermione ros her hand and I rolled my eyes.
"Yes, Miss Granger?"
"Mandrake, or Mandragora... ...is used to return those who have been Petrified to their original state. It's also quite dangerous. The Mandrake's cry is fatal to anyone who hears it." Hermione gave her over educated speech.
"Excellent. Ten points to Gryffindor." Professor Sprout stated giving us a look.
Harry looked at me with a smile and I just had to smile too. I heard a quiet clap from the other side of the table and it was Bri. I looked at her and she smiled which made me slightly smile.
Harry looked over at Draco and gave a slight head nod and Draco didn't like that so very much. Ryann looked at Harry and rolled her eyes. I wonder what her problem was this year? I mean her best friend bully's Harry and I and let's not say but Draco also bully's the nice friendly Bri.
"As our Mandrakes are still only seedlings... ...their cries won't kill you yet. But they could knock you out for hours, which is why I have given you earmuffs... ...for auditory protection. So could you please put them on, right away? Quickly."
We all put our earmuffs on as quickly as possible and Hermione slightly smiled.
Flaps tight down, and watch me closely. You grasp your Mandrake firmly. You pull it sharply up out of the pot." Professor Sprout pulled the Mandrake out of the pot and it made this squealing noise.
"Got it? And... ...now you dunk it down into the other pot... ...and pour a little sprinkling of soil to keep him warm." The squeals still continued.
"Longbottom's been neglecting his earmuffs." Professor Sprout stated.
"No, ma'am, he's just fainted." Seamus informed her as we looked down to see Neville on the floor.
"Yes, well, just leave him there. Right, on we go. Plenty of pots to go around. Grasp your Mandrake and pull it up." Professor Sprout shouted, Harry pulled his out then I pulled mine out. The Mandrake's screamed and I wished it was over.
I put it in the other pot and started to throw dirt on it. I looked over to see how Bri was handling it and I was surprised at what I saw.
She was tickling the mandrake and was talking to it. The Mandrake wasn't screaming, no it was not screaming, it was silent. It was talking to her and it looked like she understood what the mandrake was telling her. I smiled at how cute she was; she was quite brilliant if I did say so myself. Bloody brilliant to be exact and I didn't care if I was blushing it was worth it.

We finished a few classes and it was finally lunch. I was sitting at the table winding my wand with tape and a lot of it.
"Say it. I'm doomed." I stated looking at Harry.
Harry looked at me and sighed, "You're doomed."
A flash appeared out of nowhere and there was a first year standing in front of us. "Hi, Harry. I'm Colin Creevey. I'm in Gryffindor too."
"Hi, Colin. Nice to meet you." Harry stated.
"Ron, is that your owl?" I looked over to see Errol flying down the Gryffindor table. Everything was well until Errol flew right into the chip bowl making everyone laugh. I looked at him and looked disgusted, "Bloody bird's a menace." I took the letter out of his mouth.
"Oh, no." My voice cracked.
"Look, everyone. Weasley's got himself a Howler." Seamus announced to the whole Hall.
"Go on, Ron. I ignored one from my gran once. It was horrible." Neville stated, I looked horrified. Ryann started to laugh with Draco and I just hung my head. When I looked back up Bri looked at me with apology.
I looked at my letter again and opened it up. I started to scream at me and I threw it on the table.
"Ronald Weasley!" It started to unfold it's self and turned into a mouth with a serpent like tongue, "How dare you steal that car! I am absolutely disgusted! Your father's now facing an inquiry at work... ... and it's entirely your fault!" I looked horrified as it was close up to my face and yelling at me, "If you put another toe out of line... ... we'll bring you straight home!" I nodded with fear.
The letter turned to Ginny and everyone looked at her, "And, Ginny, dear, congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud."
It turned towards me again and gave me a raspberry and tore itself into shreds. I looked udderly horrified at what just happened and I didn't want anyone to say anything to me.
