A couple of days later, after the death of Flamberg; the Firestorm elemental, we find our heroes traversing through a mountain side, and according to the map they are close to a human settlement, a human village if you will
"M-Master Zero" says a flustered Kaede, "I can smell a burning sent from just beyond the mountain"
"Something burning?" Asked Zero, "Is someone doing a cook out or something?"
"Zero!" Iris pointed towards a pillar of smoke, "look!"
Zero looked surprised, then he bolted towards the village, this surprised the two and in turn followed the silver haired male. When they arrived they saw a horrendous sight
(Warning mature content inbound, if you can't handle gore then, GET THE HELL OUT!!! And everybody says anime is for kids!! ...... Okay that was out of line but true, [time to reference GS] )
A village burnt to a crisp, Knights around every corner making some ruckus and noise, blood everywhere, Women raped no matter the age and all of them broken, bodies of people either hanged from the ceilings or by the trees like some sort of décor or ornament, and some sort of screaming flame?...... OH MY GAWD they're burning people alive!!!!
This made something inside Zero to snap and rushed in head first and he unsheathed Tenshi Muuho in a fit of rage, No one saw this coming and no one ever saw what hit them, and they now paid for their lives for each blood he spilled, Zero now is seen holding his blade towards one of the knights
"Now tell me who ordered you to do this horrendous act?" Zero said with no remorse, a cold air on his voice and with so much killing intent
I know some of you guys or gals asking on why and how is our hero, Zero is not bothered about the blood and what not? Well simple answer on that: adrenalin, yes a surge of an adrenaline wave is now empowering Zero on these actions he takes.... Now back to the story
"Why do you care?!" said the knight, "all is true through the spoils of war"
"So as I thought!" Zero said gritting his teeth, "You are no knight, hell you're no bandit or rogue, what you are now are demons!!"
When Zero was about to sheath his blade on the knight's throat he heard a voice and felt someone holding on his arm
"That's enough" Iris said placing her soft hand on his arm and proceeded to hug the said male
The so called knight tried to escape but was stopped by Kaede and her huge tail, or should I say the weight of her tail
(Kaede: HEY! My tail's weight is only 100 kilograms, and it's normal for female Lizard girls to have. I-I-It's not that heavy
ME: keep telling yourself that)
The knight was tied up alongside everyone who is also guilty, some women that is still alive and some men that can still be called: sane (basically the fathers of the girls and the husbands of women that was raped)
"Kaede are they okay now?" Zero asked
"Some are now broken" Kaede said as she examine one of the women, "this one's light has now been extinguished"
(Note: this is a passive skill for all types of Lizard men race type avatars or players called: Spirit Seek)
"Hold on!?" Zero said with a bit of shock, "You have that skill?"
"Every lizard men race types have 'em" Kaede explained, "have you not known of that, Zero?"
"I've known of it" said the silver haired male, "I just want to confirm it"
Then that actually rang some bells inside Zero's head, then came a thought: 'if all of the lizardmen species has the Spirit seek skill then..... Are there players who are in this world?'
"I have already contacted the kingdom" Iris Informed the two, "they'll be here in about an hour"
"You used a contact scroll?" Asked the silver haired male in particular, "Isn't that an expensive magical scroll"
"Yes" Replied Iris, "it's very easy to get anyway"
Zero nodded and stood up looking at the horrific scene
"This is what I'm afraid of" Zero said with a grim tone, "a civil war
"I don't understand what you're implying" Iris continued
"I've seen this scene before and that's on over a hundred and fifty years ago" Kaede then stood up and lifted a person towards the make shift clinic, "those were very hard times"
"I-I never knew about these" Iris now where shocked, "I-I-It's way to despicable.... No detestable for anyone to do this!
"MASTER ZERO!! LADY IRIS!!!" Yelled Kaede, "COME HERE QUICK!!!"
Both Iris and Zero ran towards the voice of Kaede but they saw a horrible sight
"W-What on earth!!" Exclaimed Iris
What they saw is the worst thing they have seen all day and what they is an Demon, a deformed Monstrosity with horns placed on its head, clawed hands, razor sharp claws and anger red skin coloration
"What the hell is a Bicount demon doing in the human world?!" Zero exclaimed unsheathing Calad Bolg, "And not just one too, there seems two more, Kaede get back now!!"
The said female had jumped back from the said deformity and landed near the duo and looked at the Demon with fear in her eyes
"Master Zero" Kaede said to get rid of the fear in her eyes, "What is that thing!"
"It's a Bicount demon!" Zero explained with a little bit of horror in his tone, "a demon class that is stronger than any lesser demon!"
(A/N: here is the ranking system of Demons for the sake of this chapter; Demon Lord/ Demon Queen > Demon General > Arch Duke/ Duchess Demons > Duke/ Duchess Demons > Baron/ Baroness Demon > Tempered Bicount/ Bicountess Demon > Bicount/ Bicountess Demon > Count/ Countess Demon > Lesser Demon. That's how many the ranking goes, AND ya mey be wonderin' how they rank up? Heh? Power scaling and levelling Duh! The stronger and older ya are as a demon the higher the rank!!)
The demon was particularly eating the innards of a four year old child, blood dripping from its huge fangs, then they saw two more, one was eating a dead corpse of a man, and the last one....
"Please.... No... More!" Said a female human said after the demon was eating her hand, while tears are falling from her face, "Please..... No...... more..... I'm sorry Mom, Dad, Big bro...."
The Demon roared and breathed through the head of the girl, preparing to bit of the head, this made the girl scream and squirm, making the other demons respond and rushed towards the demon with a girl and bit of some parts of her
"AAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!" Yelled the girl in pain and agony times ten, "PLEASE! STOP! PLEASE! STOP! MOMMY! DADDY! BIG BRO!! HELP ME—AGHK!"
"SNNAAAPPPP!!"
The girl's hand is now limply dangling on her lifeless and headless body as blood splattered all over the demons making their skin colour to a vermillion coloration and the horns are dyed in the same colour
"This is way too messed up!" Said Zero as he was about to throw up due to the sight
This made the demons got their sights on the threesome as their eyes glowed red and rushed at them full speed, making Zero block all three attacks and parry them
"EVERYONE GET READY!!" Zero ordered readying his stance with Calad Bolg
This made everyone follow suit and brandished all their weapons
"THIS WILL BE BLOODY!!!" Zero shot his devilish grin
Then all of the demons charged with a blood thirst deeper than any crevice on any earth, roaring to their hearts content
