With all said and done after the events of the elemental had pass on and now gone, the lizard men of the dragon claw tribe has greeted there hero for all his efforts by a huge feast around a campfire with grilled meat, fish, pork, and an assortment of fruit and vegetables, plus cheese and bread
"I thank you for saving both the village and my daughter" said the chief handing Zero a glass of fire wine
(Note: Fire wine is a liquor beverage that is as a century old tree, it's basically it)
"No thanks needed" Zero then looked at his drink, "but it was nothing, I would do what was needed to do"
He drank the fire wine and instantly felt the effects, and I think you readers know what it means to either drink a century old booze? Well let me tell ye: Imagine drinking about fifty shots of whisky or rum in an instant, so basically he is partly drunk
"Holy....!" Exclaimed with a red face Zero, "this is good Fire Wine!"
The lizard men laughed out loud because of the said male's reaction
"Master Zero, is it true that you haven't drank Fire wine before?" asked Imperio (Village Chief)
"I am Underage so I never drank wine before" Zero said with a sheepish smile
"Father" Kaede then appeared with an amazing armor like set that is only worn by high level berserkers
"No way!" Exclaimed Zero, "Is.... Is she wearing the... Starlight Berserker set?"
"You have a good eye master Zero" Smiled Imperio raising a glass of fire wine towards his daughter, "that is one of the seven sacred treasures of the Seven tribes of the Lizard men, the Starlight Berserkers set is rank one amongst all seven"
"A G-rank set" murmured the silver haired swordsman, "and here I thought that there were only six G-ranking weapons, never knew there were armours as well"
"Father, since there is someone who have defeated me, I must leave in order to redeem myself" Kaede explained looking rather solemn
"That is according to the Law" says Imperio with no emotions at all, "you may leave now"
Kaede was about to leave but Zero held her armored hand with a smirk that says: 'hang on just a second Motherfucker!'
"Chief, you're her Father and you're just going to banish her like that?" Zero asked still with his signature smirk
"I cannot break tradition, Master Zero!" Roared the Chief, "even if that's the point I can't disobey!"
"Then let me propose this" the said male continued, "as your laws dictate: only the strong have their ways, and was the winner of the duel"
Zero then stood up and pointed at Kaede, "And if I am not mistaken, I am still not been rewarded by taking care of Flamberg, the fire storm elemental"
"I chose her as my prize for defeating the elemental!!" Smirked Zero
Everyone gone silent, iris looked like she is really in need of an explanation, Kaede looked more in shock with a blush on her face
[In Zero's thoughts]
'This is perfect! I need to make this work for her to join the party'
'A loop hole I can squeeze my head in too'
'A Lancer, a Swordsman, and a Berserker is one of the basic of parties, a DPS one to be exact'
'This turn of events are turning in my favour'
[Back to reality]
"That is acceptable" Imperio then looked with a relieved face
"I can tell that you really relieved, chief" Zero then stopped smirking and started smiling, "I'll take care of your daughter, and don't worry she is in safe hands"
"I'm counting on that Master Zero" Imperio then bowed on all fours
"Zero what in the world are you planning?" Iris whispered in my ear
"Chief we will head out towards our destination by daybreak tomorrow" Zero said while all Lizard men and women looked a bit shocked
"You're not going to stay?" Asked Imperio with a grim expression
"I still have a quest to finish and a civil war to end" Zero explained, "and I think I have another piece to solve this puzzle"
"Is it just me or" Iris said aloud, "are you already drunk?"
"Feels like it though" Zero said and was about to tip
And all of a sudden Zero had fallen and is now unconscious with a red face and is now, let's just say, he is Drunk
Everyone burst out laughing even Iris and Kaede
