Summary: Breta fell from a high place, so she wakes up in a hospital with no memory of the night before. The people that knew introduce themselves to her.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was in my bed, not able to walk, get out of bed, or anything. I was severely injured. Only my neck remained uninjured. I have a concussion, it made me forget everything that happened in a whole year.

What happened to me?

"Breta, some people are here to see you. Would you want to let them in?"

I stared up at the ceiling. "Have I known them before the memories I lost?"

There was silence, "We'll see, sweetheart."

I blinked, closed my eyes for a moment and opened them again. "I want to remember." I said softly.

The nurse sighed, giving me a pittied expression. "I'll bring them in, sweetheart." The Nurse first propped me up so I didn't have to strain myself before she let them in.

A group who I didn't recognized came in. There were five guys and three girls, crowding around my hospital bed wearing varying expressions. I looked at each of them, trying to discern who they are to me, with no avail.

"Breta! I'm so glad you're not dead!" One of the girls cried, running to me to hug me.

"Ow." I winced.

"Oh, sorry." The girl quickly got off of me.

"Im so glad you're okay, Breta. I really missed you," The boy that was closer to my bedside said to me.

I blinked at him. It was as though his eyes jumped out at me, the expression in them are so...familar somehow.

"But the Doctor said I was only here for a week?"

He walked closer to my side and took my hand in his gently.

He looked deeply into my eyes, "A week is too long for me."

I blinked again. "I'm sorry, but what are you to me?"

It was as if I slapped him. His eyes glazed over with unshed tears.

"Breata, You don't remember me? I'm Darlson. I love you and you love me."

A man that was behind Darlson scoffed, "She's pulling your leg, Darlson. She's getting you back from before."

I scowled. From before?

"I don't understand, what did Darlson do?"

The man studied me for a moment, then his eyes widened. "You seriously lost your memory, didn't you?"

I nodded slowly, "Yeah? The doctors said that the fall I took cause a concussion and some amnesia. I don't recall what happened to me."

"What? I'm getting the nurse, I can't beleive this." He stormed out of the room.

Darlson looked bleak, "I'm so sorry Breta, We shouldn't have protected you better."

I shook my head, "Shit happens." I gave a small smile.

Darlson seemed to brighten up a little.

I gestured to everyone, "How about you all tell me who you are? It could help me to remember."

As I said this, the guy that stormed out of the room walked back in with a deep frown on his face.

The girl that hugged me earlier clapped her hands and jumped up and down. "That's a cooley idea! Me first! My name's Brownie, I'm your bestie and we do all sorts of crazy stuff together." She giggled.

I blinked.

"Stupid, how can this possibly work?" A girl said, she had her arms crossed, and she had a deep frown on her face.

She's looking at the glass half empty.

"Come Alysseia, you have to try, it's important to at least try," The girl that hugged me earlier said.

"Fine," The girl with her arms crossed muttered and started on her introduction.
